From the 3rd September, we are looking for an after school special needs nanny for our son, from 3.15pm to 7.15pm, from Monday to Friday. and 10.5 hour days in school holidays. Additional hours available for one Sunday a month and babysitting hours if preferable.
A key element of the role is to help our son to continue to develop his independent skills and complete therapeutic programs (eg sensory diet, fine motor and communication table top activities) as designed by his therapists (OT, SLT). You will be working closely with the his Multi-disciplinary team with regular support sessions and training. Social engagement for our son is of course an essential part of the role, being a 'buddy' figure, enabling trips to the park, out on his trike and support him with self care. Our son benefits from daily physical exercise.
He is non verbal and communicates with visuals for his immediate needs. He is very sweet and gentle, never aggressive, but quite cheeky!
You would have some light household tasks such as cleaning up after his meal and help with his laundry.
We can also provide accommodation with an independent, fully refurbished flat if live-in is preferable.
Let me know if you are interested! Many thanks!
Live out rates are £18.00 gross per hour for weekdays and £19.50 gross per hour for weekends.
Live-in rates are £16.00 gross per hour for weekdays and £18.00 gross per hour for weekends.

We are a British-American family who generally live in New York, but will be staying in Wimbledon with family July 13-August 18. We are looking for someone to spend 3-4 hours a day during the week (or 2-3 longer days) with our 9 year old son, who has special needs. He is a sweet, insightful, imaginative kid who also has very low frustration tolerance, ADHD, and who can be aggressive physically and verbally. We are working with care providers and therapists here in New York, trying to find the right balance of medication and support. His behavior is slowly improving, but we want to be upfront that he is still quite capable of outbursts. We'd love to find someone who could take him on local adventures, go on walks/hikes, play, and just have fun. We'll also have access to swimming pool.
Thanks for considering this.
