We are looking for someone to join our family as an after school carer/support worker for our 4 year old daughter Lily.
Core hours are 4-7pm Mon to Fri. Additional hours/longer days will also be available in school holidays.
Lily was born with a genetic condition which caused severe brain damage shortly after birth. Lily is non-mobile and requires 1-2-1 support for all daily activities.
Despite being non-verbal you will quickly discover that Lily is very adept at letting you know what she wants through her cheeky personality and heartwarming giggles!
We are looking for someone who will love and care for Lily like we as her parents do - lots of cuddles are an essential part of the role!
Your shift will start by welcoming Lily home from school and getting her settled - perhaps some play time or maybe just a cuddle on the sofa depending on how tired she is! You will need to make and feed Lily dinner and also give her a bath and get her ready for bed before handing back over to mum and dad at bedtime.
Driving is not an essential part of the role but it is desirable especially if you would be willing to work additional hours during school holidays.

We are looking for someone to help us with summer months when our daughter is not at School. Ideally we are looking for a carer with special needs childcare experience, but it could be a psychology/teacher/ psychology student as training will be provided. A person needs to be organised, caring and friendly. Activities will include walks, reading books, maybe visit to a swimming pool, taking our daughter to the summer club/picking her up from the club, shopping centre, making simple lunch/or dinner. If you are driver, that would be very welcomed.
Our daughter requires one on one help as she is not aware of danger, and needs lots of support. Hours 4-8 hours per day from Monday, July 31st till latest September 4th. We are also looking for some overnights.
Hourly rate depending on experience but attractive. A nice professional family in Bromley/Bickley area with a friendly dog will welcome you to our house. Fixed fee to be agreed for overnight care.

An opportunity to help look after a friendly 13 year old boy with special needs at a family home in Bromley. Some experience with special needs children is preferred but not necessary if you have other experience of nannying or care. The job is available either as 3 days per week or in two packages of 1 and 2 days per week
Hourly rate : £13 per hour plus meals
Term time: Weds, Thurs, Fri 4pm to 8pm (apart from 3 days a month when F has an overnight club)
School Holidays: Weds, Thurs, Fri : Variable : Can be as term time (roughly 4pm-8pm) if F has a club, or can be “all day” (10am-8pm) if he does not (apart from 3 days a month when F has an overnight club)
Opportunities for additional hours either in the evening or morning before school
Driver / own car required? Helpful but not essential, we are a short walk from Shortlands station
F, 13, is a very energetic, happy young boy who enjoys walks and the outdoor life. His mind is very active, he is caring, affectionate and friendly.
F has Global Development Delay (Xia Gibbs syndrome), he only has a few words, and will typically lead you to show what he means. He is working hard on understanding instructions and knows what’s expected of him most of the time. F has great mobility and you need to be quick on your feet to keep up with him when he’s keen to explore.
F requires 1:1 support at home for all his needs. After school, he has a snack around 5 as he is a hungry boy. He will then be quite bouncy and excited, so some hands-on interaction is needed, usually a walk to the park or playground or anything outside F will enjoy as he needs to be tired out. After that, F will likely play by himself with his toys or watch TV to relax, but he’ll need some supervision to make sure he’s not up to mischief. F still wears nappies so personal care is required.
Then dinner around 7:00, F can feed himself, he just needs to be sat with at all times. Then after dinner a bath or shower, pyjamas and a night-time nappy, ready for bed around 8.
F’s sister (15) is also around, she will join for dinner, a chat and maybe some play, but is otherwise pretty independent.
During the holidays, the job involves looking after F all day, typically a chilled start, followed by play late morning, lunch, perhaps a walk in the afternoon and then a relaxed evening routine.
