Your role will involve caring for my daughter at our home, performing all tasks related to her care, and contributing to the smooth running of our household. Duties include: - Coordinating with our driver for nursery pickups and drop-offs - Providing a safe and stimulating environment - Bathing, dressing, and styling her hair - Changing diapers - Laundry duties - Feeding through a PEG tube - Keeping her bedroom and play areas tidy - Maintaining seizure logs - Light housekeeping - Shopping for her necessities - Collecting prescriptions Although experience with special needs children is preferred, it's not a requirement, as I'm open to training the right candidate. Are you a joyful, responsible, nurturing person, who’d like to share some girl time with our daughter; a lively 29yr old, who loves everyone and everything? You must look (or be) a similar age, have a responsible but fun personality. We can offer fixed and flexible hours and days through her weekday programme to allow for relaxed days, outings, film nights, concerts etc. She has Downs Syndrome with moderate learning difficulties but minimal to no personal care requirements. Though naive and younger than her years; she is pretty able in speech, thought and mobility and has accessed most community activities. She will need someone who can push her in a manual wheelchair when she runs out of energy, intermittently between walking to cover a distance, or if speed is needed. You will have ideas about helping her to use her full capabilities to become more independent, express her thoughts and use good conversation skills in an increasingly mature way to build friendship groups to socialise with. P.S. Someone who is vaccinated is necessary. A driver with a car is preferred due to the location of pick ups and occasion use of manual wheelchair. We will cover the uplift in insurance for business use and all expenses incurred in activities.
