Looking for support with five-year-old who has type one diabetes.

by Tim • Kensington and Chelsea
This would be a person who is ideally familiar with type one diabetes but if not, it is really not hard to learn and the parents would work closely with you. It may also include working at the child’s school 7 to 10 hours a week in addition to 4 or five hours on Fridays and occasional babysitting.

K. is 4 years old and he's a very happy little boy. He was diagnosed ASD two years ago and most of the time he is very easy going, loves independent play and he is also very smart for his age. Keon loves numbers, letters, flags and landmarks. He's also obsessed with Sea Animals and Space. Most of the time, specially if at home it's very easy to handle Keon's routines. He is very chilled and is always smiling. He does need help with putting clothes on sometimes. Currently, as we recently move to London K. is waiting for a school placement through his EHCP, but from January the routine will change. We will still need a full-time nanny but then he will be going to school and we will also need help dropping him off/collecting him. In the time you're waiting for him to finish school if you still want to keep the same hours you could help us with our 1 year old. We need someone currently Mon-Friday 9am-3pm, from January it will be from 8am-4pm (including picking up/drop off at school). I finish at work at 4pm but my partner will be at home to be with the kids while I'm coming back. We're looking for someone available to start as soon as possible and ideally with DBS cheeks. Thanks!
