Key Responsibilities: • Plan, organise, and participate in engaging activities, outings, and recreational experiences, sometimes exploring his special interests (mainly buses and trains) and sometimes broadening his horizons (cinema, galleries, museum, go-karting, etc). • Provide gentle encouragement and support to help build confidence and develop social skills. • Ensure a safe and supportive environment during outings. • Assist with transitions and help navigate challenges that may arise. • Communicate effectively with the family to discuss plans, share feedback, and coordinate logistics. Qualifications and Experience: • Previous experience working with autistic young people or those with additional needs (essential). • Understanding of autism and an ability to adapt to individual sensory, communication, and emotional needs. • Patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills. • A proactive and creative approach to planning engaging activities. • Strong communication skills and the ability to build a rapport. • First Aid training (desirable but not essential). • A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential).
