| I have experience as a support worker at a day service for adults with learning disabilities. There I gained experience working with various different needs. I worked with adults that... - had non verbal communication - suffered from blindness - had delayed speech - had Prader-Willi syndrome - had cerebral palsy - had autism - had challenging behavior - had limited capacity - had needs relating to elderly care I am confident working with learning disabilities and or autism and other disabilities due to my experience, education but also my personality! I am fun, bubbly and have experience in acting in a therapeutic role too. I worked as an advocate as well as support worker, and so I know how important the emotional help can be too for adults and children in this situation. I have a car, do not smoke, have a valid DBS, have undergone multiple care related training and have strong references to attest to this.

| Originally from the UK , I have been living in Sydney for the past 6 years, where I have been a preschool teacher for 3-5 year olds. I have the skills to create fun, learning activities for all age groups to help them develop. I have a clear knowledge of a child's milestones and how to encourage a child towards achieving them. My class consisted of 30 children so I can engage a group of children as well as care for a child on a 1:2:1 basis also. Alongside this I supported a young child through his diagnosis of autism and therapy, for the past 3 years. This child was non verbal so I have strong positive body language and can use PEC's as a visual aid. I have worked with children with complex emotional and behaviour difficulties so have patience and an understanding of managing behaviour. I have worked with children of all ages from newborn up to the age of 16 years, in a variety of different and sometimes challenging environments. I believe children from all cultures and backgrounds deserve the best opportunities, and I enjoy guiding and nurturing them on their journey.

| As a fully qualified primary school teacher I have a full DBS and more than 10 years experience of working with children aged 3-11. I specialised in early years and spent many years working with 3-5 year olds. I have worked in a range of schools and developed amazing relationships with both children and their families. I have taken a step away from main stream education in the last year and have been working as a supply teacher and I am ready for a new challenge as I look for work outside of education. I am passionate about working with children and families and feel that childcare or nannying would be a great fit. I own a car and have a full clean driving licence. I am able to take children to and from activities or out on day trips. I am also able to keep children busy in the home while supporting with any homework they may have. I set clear boundaries but love to have fun. I have experience of working with children with SEND including autism and down syndrome. I am married but without children of my own so I can be flexible in the hours that I can work. Non-smoker. Outside of my career, family is really important to me, I also love travel, read and look after my houseplants!
