MALE Support worker, URGENTLY needed. Supporting a 28yr young man with Autism, nonverbal, complex sensory needs, challenging behavior. The young adult has complex health needs that require constant supervision. You must have a good knowledge of severe Autism and health care, candidate must maintain a good level of their personal hygiene and show flexibility. The client is sensitive to smell, sound, touch etc. and bad smells can bring on CB. Administering suppositories. Training can be provided. You will provide a person centered environment. Respect the clients needs and dignity and maintain the clients privacy and safety at all times. The client is 2:1. You are expected to maintain the clients health and wellbeing needs. Have a good knowledge of how to prepare social stories and communicate, with the client on a daily basis to promote confidence, vocalization and social awareness skills. Role also includes following daily sensory diet x3 per day. At least a minimum of GCSE level in spoken and written English. You will be expected to maintain the clients property, carrying out household Chores, preparing meals, administrate medications, keep daily records, logs. Follow care plans etc. You will be expected to work on your own initiative and display a proactive approach. Excellent listening and communication skills are essential. Follow daily routines and instructions. Respect clients needs and ensure best interests is always the forefront of your role. Health and safety training is essential. Role also involves driving, attending medical appointments and outdoor and indoor activities. It is essential you hold a full UK clean driving licenses and live local within the west London area or within a 5-10mile radius. The client is Muslim and follows a strict halal, gluten free and lactose free diet. Working benefits including good pay rate £18, training, pensions only apply to PAYE employees. During the shadowing phase, you are expected to work 8hrs. Once you have completed your shadowing period you will follow 12hr rota shifts. Client requires full support in personal care, a good knowledge of how to manage complex bladder retention. Maintain the clients health and wellbeing needs.
