Scrimmages of 2v2 and 3v3 progress over the season to emphasize the rules of soccer and prepare kids to join a soccer team. This class is a NON-PARENT PARTICIPATION class. Welcome to Messy Art Lab’s MESSY MASTERS! ( 2 - 3.5 yrs old) Each week, little artists will dive into hands-on fun with handmade play dough, colorful sensory stations, and ONE creative main activity designed to ignite their imagination. The focus is on free exploration and messy play—squish, explore, and create at your own pace! A Child-Led, Creative Experience Follow your child's lead—step back, observe, and let them discover their own path! Move, sing and dance with in Lafayette Park! Our Baby Music Classes for infants and young toddlers provide an opportunity for parents and/or caregivers to sing and dance with their little ones to build and strengthen connections. Music supports and nurtures all areas of child development: Social-emotional, Cognitive, Language and Literacy, as well as both areas of physical development, fine and gross motor development. During these classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn many new ones, often using fun visual props to help support language development and symbolic thinking.  Most of our staff has extensive background in Early Childhood Education, intentionally exposing children to a rich variety of language, beats, and sounds while remaining developmentally appropriate. Our programs offer a joyful and rewarding experience for both adults and children, providing a great occasion for babies to interact with other babies and parents to meet other parents. This session, we will focus on fun on the Enchanted Garden, Outer Space, & Insects, Gardens, and Weather! This is an 8 week session.

A JAMaROO first! Come spend the Tuesday mornings at JAMaROO with this fun class combo. Arrive as early at 10:00 to play in the space, take the Music & Movement class from 10:15-10:45, enjoy open play from 10:45-11:00 and do Arts & Crafts from 11:00-11:30, followed by an 15 additional minutes of free play from 11:30-11:45! 10:15-10:45 Preschool Music & Movement This class is perfect for children who are new to preschool or will be entering into preschool soon. These preschool classes have been created to work on fostering all 5 key areas of development in early childhood education: Cognitive, Speech and Language, Fine and Gross motor development and social emotional. In classes we'll sing traditional songs and also sing original JAMaROO Kids songs created by our own team. Many songs will focus on the alphabet, building vocabulary, and basic math skills. We will begin to explore basic music theory by introducing children to fun characters such as Octave the Octopus! Each month our curriculum will change to ensure children stay excited about class and are always learning something new while providing them with enough repetition to master new skills and vocabulary. 11:00-11:30 Preschool Arts & Crafts This class is perfect for children who are new to preschool or will be entering preschool soon. These preschool classes have been created to work on fostering all 5 key areas of development in early childhood education: Cognitive, Speech and Language, Fine and Gross motor development and social emotional. In classes we'll Explore different art mediums while fostering speech and language development and exploring textures, colors and shapes! We provide an opportunity for children to connect with nature while directly participating in the daily rhythms of farm life. Our day camp is designed to inspire a connection with and love of the natural world, and also a chance to get hands dirty in fun and educational ways. Activities include animal care for our chickens, weeding, watering, mulching, harvesting, compost care, crafts and free play. Children should bring snacks and lunch and come prepared to get dirty!

Spend this week-long camp in the Ocean of Possibilities as we pretend to be merkids, preparing for the grand mermaid festival with puppet shows, crafts, and fun! Puppet shows are back! Join us once a month on Saturday mornings as we take kiddos on a story-time adventure with puppet pals Sneaky Pete, Tom the Rat, Meowzers, plus some new special guests! There will also be theater and movement games, dancing, and singing. Caregiver is required to stay.

In the JAMaROO Kids Music & Movement classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn original ones too (many written by our own teachers). Our music curriculum has been developed to spark creativity and incorporate imaginative play. Each month, we’ll focus on a different seasonal curriculum that incorporates the use of puppets, books, and other props to maximize the educational experience and keep classes fun and exciting! Throughout the year, our teachers will use a variety of simple instruments and introduce children to different genres of music from around the world. Through movement activities, children will build gross motor skills, directly encouraging strength, balance, and coordination. Our teachers will use bean bags, scarves, shakers, rhythm sticks, and other equipment to make classes more interactive and hands-on. At JAMaROO Kids all of our music, dance, and yoga curriculum is developed to support and foster all five key areas of development: Cognitive, Speech & Language, Gross Motor Development, Fine Motor Development, Social and Emotional. This class includes: Music, Movement, Dance and Storytime. 15 MINUTE EXPLORATION TIMES: We are eager to build community together as we open our JAMaROO Kids Club! We invite you to arrive up to 15 minutes before your class, and stay up to 15 minutes after your class ends, to explore our space with your littles! Soak up the sun and get ready to dance this summer with a very special ballet series! Summer Sunflower Ballet takes advantage of the long summer afternoons to explore movement, dance, and magic! All our ballet classes are designed to encourage make believe and to allow children to create their own dances that live inside their hearts!
