Children will explore the colorful world of rainbows, the wonder of unicorns, and the joy of expression. Each week concludes with a special Art Show, where the children proudly showcase their incredible creations! - Drop off starts at 9:00am. - Pick up is 2:45pm to 3:00pm. - Aftercare hours available 3pm-5pm - Our aftercare can be purchased as a series package, we will not be offering aftercare on FRIDAYS. In this group you will find a safe space to process all the challenges and surprises that come along with the arrival of a new family member. We strive to create a place where a parent and baby can come and just BE. Connect with new mamas & papas, practice breastfeeding/bottle feeding in a safe space, talk with other new parents about current concerns and joys, and enjoy connection and support when needed in a casual environment. Babies always welcome, of course! In addition to traversing the joys and challenges of being new parents, you will also learn about the signs and symptoms associated with postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, and will learn realistic ways to ensure that you are connected with the care and support that you need. Our groups are inclusive, welcoming & open to all. They are donation based. In class, children go on a yoga adventure using their imaginations and the art of storytelling to help navigate through yoga poses. Our destinations include hiking in the Mountains, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, going on a Safari in Africa, or sledding in the North Pole. On our journey, we play yoga games, sing yoga songs, and practice breathing techniques. Our goal is to give young children a developmentally appropriate way to explore yoga poses, mindfulness and social emotional learning. This class uses creative story-based games to engage toddlers in their early learning experience in athletic development. Along with basic to advanced motor skills, classroom and team skills such as taking turns, listening to a coach and following directions are stressed in a fun environment. Lights, Camera, Action! 5-Day Filmmaking and Acting Summer Camp Overview: Lights, Camera, Action! is a dynamic and engaging 5-day summer camp designed to introduce students to the exciting world of filmmaking and acting. Through a blend of interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and practical exercises, campers will learn the fundamentals of storytelling, scriptwriting, acting, camera techniques, and video editing. Led by experienced instructors, this immersive experience will empower campers to unleash their creativity, collaborate with peers, and bring their ideas to life on screen. Day 1: Introduction to Filmmaking - Explore the basics of filmmaking and storytelling. - Engage in icebreaker activities to foster a sense of community. - Learn about the various roles in filmmaking and the importance of collaboration. - Dive into acting games and exercises to build confidence in front of the camera. Day 2: Pre-production - Develop storytelling skills through scriptwriting and storyboarding. - Assign roles and responsibilities for the production phase. - Plan shooting schedules and scout locations around the camp. Day 3: Production - Gain hands-on experience with filmmaking equipment. - Rehearse scenes and fine-tune performances under the guidance of acting coaches. - Begin filming scenes according to the production schedule. Day 4: Post-production - Learn the basics of video editing software. - Edit footage to create a polished final cut. - Explore sound design techniques to enhance the film's audio. This class is great for those who simply want to discover a new language, reinforce language in a bilingual household, or expose their little to the many amazing cultures that make up our country! This class for infants and young toddlers provides an opportunity for parents and/or caregivers to sing and dance with their little ones to build and strengthen connections. Music supports and nurtures all areas of child development: Social-emotional, Cognitive, Language and Literacy, as well as both areas of physical development, fine and gross motor development. During this bilingual class, we’ll sing traditional songs in English and Spanish, and learn many new ones, often using fun visual props to help support language development and symbolic thinking, while encouraging simple, early vocabulary in both English and Spanish. Most of our staff has extensive background in Early Childhood Education, intentionally exposing children to a rich variety of language, beats, and sounds while remaining developmentally appropriate. In the JAMaROO Kids Bilingual Music & Movement classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn original ones too (many written by our own teachers), all while exploring the Spanish language! Each month, we’ll focus on a different seasonal curriculum that incorporates the use of puppets, books, and other props to maximize the educational experience and keep classes fun and exciting! Using our curriculum, we will encourage both English and Spanish vocabulary, singing in both languages, and identifying objects and characters in English and Spanish as well! Through movement activities, children will build gross motor skills, directly encouraging strength, balance, and coordination. In this class kids are using dribbling, shooting and passing skills in fun and creative games. Playing games with partners is used to develop teamwork. Scrimmages of 2v2 and 3v3 progress over the season to emphasize the rules of soccer and prepare kids to join a soccer team. This class is a NON-PARENT PARTICIPATION class. If your child needs some help, you are more than welcome to join them to make them feel comfortable. This helps both your child and the group.
