This class is perfect for children who are new to preschool or will be entering into preschool soon. These preschool classes have been created to work on fostering all 5 key areas of development in early childhood education: Cognitive, Speech and Language, Fine and Gross motor development and social emotional. In classes we'll sing traditional songs and also sing original JAMaROO Kids songs created by our own team. Many songs will focus on the alphabet, building vocabulary, and basic math skills. We will begin to explore basic music theory by introducing children to fun characters such as Octave the Octopus! In class, children go on a yoga adventure using their imaginations and the art of storytelling to help navigate through yoga poses. Our destinations include hiking in the Mountains, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, going on a Safari in Africa, or sledding in the North Pole. On our journey, we play yoga games, sing yoga songs, and practice breathing techniques. Our goal is to give young children a developmentally appropriate way to explore yoga poses, mindfulness and social emotional learning. Move, sing and dance with Teacher Laura at the Noe Valley Kids Club! This class is great for those who simply want to discover a new language, reinforce language in a bilingual household, or expose their little to the many amazing cultures that make up our country! This class for infants and young toddlers provides an opportunity for parents and/or caregivers to sing and dance with their little ones to build and strengthen connections. Music supports and nurtures all areas of child development: Social-emotional, Cognitive, Language and Literacy, as well as both areas of physical development, fine and gross motor development. During this bilingual class, we’ll sing traditional songs in English and Spanish, and learn many new ones, often using fun visual props to help support language development and symbolic thinking, while encouraging simple, early vocabulary in both English and Spanish. The Ukulele is the perfect first instrument for young children. This naturally small instrument fits so well into their small hands! JAMaROO Kids is excited to offer this Intro to Ukulele class led by two of our most beloved senior staff members, Sara Jayne and Sohnjay. On a high up cliff, overlooking the Dessert Islands, is the infamous Ice Cream Castle. Kiddos will spend their day play pretend exploring the castle and finding the frosty treats within!
