Each week concludes with a special Art Show, where the children proudly showcase their incredible creations! - Drop off starts at 9:00am. - Pick up is 2:45pm to 3:00pm. - Aftercare hours available 3pm-5pm - Our aftercare can be purchased as a series package, we will not be offering aftercare on FRIDAYS. Lights, Camera, Action! 5-Day Filmmaking and Acting Summer Camp Overview: Lights, Camera, Action! is a dynamic and engaging 5-day summer camp designed to introduce students to the exciting world of filmmaking and acting. Through a blend of interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and practical exercises, campers will learn the fundamentals of storytelling, scriptwriting, acting, camera techniques, and video editing. Led by experienced instructors, this immersive experience will empower campers to unleash their creativity, collaborate with peers, and bring their ideas to life on screen. Day 1: Introduction to Filmmaking - Explore the basics of filmmaking and storytelling. - Engage in icebreaker activities to foster a sense of community. - Learn about the various roles in filmmaking and the importance of collaboration. - Dive into acting games and exercises to build confidence in front of the camera. Day 2: Pre-production - Develop storytelling skills through scriptwriting and storyboarding. - Assign roles and responsibilities for the production phase. - Plan shooting schedules and scout locations around the camp. Day 3: Production - Gain hands-on experience with filmmaking equipment. - Rehearse scenes and fine-tune performances under the guidance of acting coaches. - Begin filming scenes according to the production schedule. Day 4: Post-production - Learn the basics of video editing software. - Edit footage to create a polished final cut. - Explore sound design techniques to enhance the film's audio. Day 5: Screening and Wrap-Up - Present completed films in a special screening event. - Share experiences and insights gained during the camp. Development of kicking, dribbling and passing as well as listening and following instructions. The class uses a variety of fun games with lots of physical activity. Scrimmaging (1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2) is introduced in a fun non-competitive environment. This class is a NON-PARENT PARTICIPATION class. In class, children go on a yoga adventure using their imaginations and the art of storytelling to help navigate through yoga poses. Our destinations include hiking in the Mountains, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, going on a Safari in Africa, or sledding in the North Pole. On our journey, we play yoga games, sing yoga songs, and practice breathing techniques. Our goal is to give young children a developmentally appropriate way to explore yoga poses, mindfulness and social emotional learning. In this class, children will work on developing and strengthening the following: Speech and language skills, Cognitive development, Creative thinking, Problem solving, Team work, Concentration, Listening Skills, Yoga Poses, Balance, Coordination, Flexibility, Strength, Social Emotional Learning, Breathing techniques, and Self Calming skills 15 MINUTE EXPLORATION TIMES: We are eager to build community together as we open our JAMaROO Kids Club! We invite you to arrive up to 15 minutes before your class, and stay up to 15 minutes after your class ends, to explore our space with your littles! We simply ask that you adhere to the 15 minute windows before and after out of respect for the previous class, and the following class. In this class kids are using dribbling, shooting and passing skills in fun and creative games. Playing games with partners is used to develop teamwork. Scrimmages of 2v2 and 3v3 progress over the season to emphasize the rules of soccer and prepare kids to join a soccer team. This class is a NON-PARENT PARTICIPATION class. An adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder. Our pizza nights include theater games, costumes, a film-related craft, and of course… pizza (and carrot sticks)!
