| My name is Grace, I am 23 years old and newly married. I recently completed my PGCE at Oxford University and have moved back to Berkhamsted with my husband who is a detective in the Met Police. I completed an undergraduate and masters degree at Durham University where I babysat, tutored, and nannied part-time and in the holidays for a few families with children aged between 1 and 14, with the majority of time looking after two children aged 3 and 6 (aged 1 and 4 when I began!). I think children should be creative and messy all the time I enjoy making crafts with them and helping build there imagination I also enjoy doing lots of sensory play. Making sure they get a good mix of outside play and indoor activity’s is vital but also doing activities where they can be independent and learn by themselves I also enjoy story time and helping them learn new things. I have a TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children and Young People qualification. As well as this I worked with sen children for two years in an evening class with my school this helped give me lots of experience with a wide range of children. | For most of my life I have been surrounding by children. Prior to completing a PGCE course in Primary Education in 2019, I used to teach baby ballet classes every Saturday as well as volunteering at Lighthouse summer camps to look after a diverse group of children for one week. One of my favourite moments at School: It was the end of the school day on my birthday, a little boy called Noah* held out a crumpled up chocolate that he had previously sat on by accident and happily said 'Happy Birthday, Miss Kat!' No words can express the sincerity and pureness of that moment that completely melted my heart. After completing my PGCE, I felt that the demands of teaching outside of the classroom were too much for me. I have since been doing an office job, but feeling that my life is missing the sparkle that the children bring. I would love to spend some time taking care of children so that parents can have some much needed time to focus on something else, whether that's date night, a work shift or another priority.
