We are looking for someone that could support my husband on weekdays. Light duties and some personal care.

Our baby boy is 5 months old. He has SMA Type 1 (spinal muscular atrophy), but received gene therapy treatment at 11 weeks old. He has lost some mobility but is gaining strength everyday. We are looking for a full time nanny (at least 4 days a week), 7:30am - 6pm approx daily hours, who has some experience in mobility disorders. He is not cognitively impaired in any way, but he lacks strength in his muscles. We do physio 3x a day and notice improvements everyday. He feeds orally (no NG tube) and independent breathing (no ventilator). Main responsibilities would include, but not limited to: Feeding, changing nappy and clothes, washing, physio and socializing him (baby classes). We have a small dog at home. No other children. No smoking household. Looking to start in January 2022, but potentially flexible on date.

To live near St Albans and be familiar with the area. To provide ad hoc care to a child with difficulty attending school on a flexible basis by agreement between both parties. Care involved is developing trusting relationship, creating a safe and nurturing environment in his home, some meal prep and occasional trip to jump park if appropriate. No personal care child is very independent and this is a child led position.
