I love doing lots of activities like going to the farm, visiting friends, craft activities like card making, going to the cinema/theatre. The holder of this post will provide high quality person centred support to a young man with complex needs, including cerebral palsy, visual impairment and epilepsy. This might include, assistance to use the toilet, suctioning, repositioning, temperature control, administering medication. You would assist him to get ready for bed, and assist him to get up in the morning. • Remain awake and alert during the 12-hour shift • Provide monitoring of his health and general wellbeing. • Administer medication as instructed • Assist with toileting as required • Showering and dressing • Maintain accurate and detailed records • Assist with household management directly affecting client • Prepared to be flexible with hours from time to time • Willingness to travel abroad and to support client on holiday • Light domestic duties – cleaning of facilities after use Applications in writing including a CV with covering letter.
