Nannies in Westgate

| I have a real passion for working with children. From a young age I dreamed of being a teacher and have fulfilled that goal with a 30 year career teaching in a primary school in New Zealand, which I loved. I always tried to make a difference in my students’ lives, their learning, and to be a kind and caring teacher. Recently we have returned from Brisbane, where I decided to take a break from the classroom, however I still want to work with children and nannying allowed this. I can use my teaching skills and be part of a family, which is lovely, as my two daughters have now left to pursue their own careers. I am compassionate and kind, energetic and fit. With more time available to me now, I enjoy voluntary work and helping others. My greatest achievement and love are my family and bringing up my two daughters.

| As an ex- Primary school teaching, I have considerable experience looking after children and managing their wellbeing, growth and learning. I was a full-time primary teacher managing new entrants/ year 1 for over 7 years and then I had my family. I went back teaching (part time), remaining within the junior school. Here I continued to managed individual learning within a classroom environment; however, I also took on responsibility for the development of special needs programmes for children needing addition support. My teaching career spanned 26 years at the one school, illustrating commitment, reliability and resilience. We have spent the last 4 years in Brisbane with my husband’s work, where instead of teaching I started nannying. Nannying provides me great joy as I work alongside parents supporting them with their children's care and well-being. The ages of the children ranged from newborn through to a 7 years old. I have loved being a part of these families and nannying as it allows me to continue working with children and help support families with their journey.
