| Hi, I’m Rachel. I’ve recently arrived in Auckland from the UK and have started a job as a teacher at a local special school. But am looking for casual babysitting and/or holiday nannying roles. I am a qualified primary school teacher and have 3 years of experience teaching children 5-16 years old with special needs. I also have 3 years of experience as a nursery nurse. Where I worked with children 0 - 4 years old. Last summer I nannied for 2 boys under 5 and a 16 year old girl with epilepsy. As part of these roles I helped with some light cooking. | Hello there! As the oldest child in a family with younger siblings and cousins, I've had the wonderful opportunity to gain valuable experience in taking care of kids. By day, I work in a corporate firm, but my true joy and relaxation come from spending time with children. I find that being with kids opens the door to a world of fun and curiosity, which is why I love babysitting my friends' little ones and have worked in after school care programs too.
