Special Needs Care in Sheerness

| My experience includes:- Live-in care and support, childcare, housekeeping, pet care, moving and handling, personal care, administering medications, end of life care, Parkinson’s, stroke, mobility, Dementia and Heart failure care. I am qualified to NVQ Level 2 and assure you of my best care and attention at all times. I have an up to date DBS and references. I hold a full driving licence and being a British National I can legally work in the UK.

I have been working as a teaching assistant at a special needs school for over six years. During this time I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of classes with mixed age children with profound, severe and complex special educational needs. My role has been to assist in pupils learning, meet care needs, manage behaviour, implement sensory programmes and carefully record information about pupils progress. I have received training in child protection, moving and handling, sensory integration, epilepsy, first aid, signalong, autism and behaviour management. I have also worked as a personal assistant, for the past six years, providing respite care for children with autism. This involves looking after the children in their home and taking them out for the day. During my 'Early Years' studies I completed a placement in a special educational needs school. This sparked in me a passion and commitment to working with children with special needs. I really enjoy working with children with special needs, they are so unique and every day is different. I can really see the rewards and difference you came make if you put the effort in. I am caring, fun, reliable, hard-working and passionate about what I do.
