Special Needs Care in Maidstone

| I have life experience with my younger brother, who is paralysed in one arm has epilepsy and learning difficulties, and 3 years working with clients with learning disabilities, mental health problems, autism and challenging behaviour.

I have previously worked in a special needs boarding school. Here I was a 1-2-1 assistant for a child who has severe autism. Although my job was mainly focused on his individual care and educational needs, I also had opportunities to work closely with the other children that he lived with at the school. I loved every minute of working with these children as I found it extremely rewarding knowing that I was helping them to lead a life that was as happy and independent one as possible.

| I'm currently a careworker for a 23 year old with autism and epilepsy. I work with him on a farm 3 days a week. I've looked after my disabled dad for around 17 years. His got multiple illnesses including arthritis from head to toe, breathing problems, heart problems. That's just a few examples. I was his full time carer from the age of 17, so for 10 years. Doing anything from washing and clothing him, to taking him out for the day, cooking and cleaning for him. With the experience I have has made me the person I am today, very mature for my age and very caring.

| I have worked for 6 years as a community carer, I have NVQ 2 in care, a lot of trainings and online courses. I'm cheerful, reliable, punctual and committed.

| I have over 18 years experience with special needs and mental health. I teach in a special school and have done for 17 years. I am a PA to a young lad and have done since he was 8 years old his now 23. I enjoy my time out with Tom We go out to dinner, cinema, swimming, bowling,shopping,Thorpe Park weekends away also sleepovers at mine which has been agreed with social services. I am now able to offer weekend overnight respite to families around Maidstone. I am also available in the school holidays. | My name is Rattiros. My family and friends called me Tienn as it is easier to pronounce. In 2020, I graduated from a master’s degree in psychology (Conversion Course). This has equipped me with a good foundation in the skills of management, human relations, marketing, and counselling. I have had personal first-hand experience in dealing with Alzheimer’s (for 3 years) and ADHD (for 13 years). I have always been the first person to whom my friends seek advice from when they are in trouble or in need of practical and emotional support (especially when dealing with sensitive issues such as domestic violence). I’ve been working with a care agency for over a year. I look after people with multiple complications including Asperger’s, ASD, ADHD, spinal cord injury, dementia, people with anxiety and people with severe epilepsy condition.

| I began my career as a 1-1 with a child with Autism and attachment disorder. I worked with him for 2 years before he moved to a specialist school. Since then I have been working as a support worker, offering respite for children and families across Kent. My services include personal care, social activities in the community and over night stays as well if required. I thoroughly enjoy my job and have undertaken many courses focusing around ASD, Downs Syndrome, Makaton and challenging behaviour. | I understand and share the feelings of others which helps me build rapport, trust provide genuine and heartfelt care to special needs individuals. Most times special needs individuals may require more time to complete tasks or understand instructions. Patience ensures that as a caregiver, i do not rush or become frustrated, providing a calm and supportive environment. | I have previously worked as an SEND teaching assistant for five years. Experience with Downs Syndrome, Autism and ADHD, Dyspraxia. I graduated from university with BA HONS first class in special education. My current role is a keyworker, working with autistic children & young people with a learning disability with the most complex needs.

| I am a private carer to a young man with schizophrenia and I am looking for a part time role in addition to my current job. I have worked in the care industry for nearly 15 years and have supported a range of vulnerable adults including profound learning and physical disabilities,substance misuse and various mental health conditions including schizophrenia, bipolar,personality disorders,anxiety and depression and self harm. I am highly energetic and want to make a positive difference to the lives of others. I trained as a chef in the early stages of my career and am able to carry out a number of domestic support duties. I worked as a support worker in the beginning of my care career supporting people suffering from autism and downs syndrome. I have been a registered manager for a mental health service and worked within substance misuse. I possess an nvq 2 and 3 in care and also a qcf level 5 in leadership and management(care).
