I am a private carer to a young man with schizophrenia and I am looking for a part time role in addition to my current job. I have worked in the care industry for nearly 15 years and have supported a range of vulnerable adults including profound learning and physical disabilities,substance misuse and various mental health conditions including schizophrenia, bipolar,personality disorders,anxiety and depression and self harm. I am highly energetic and want to make a positive difference to the lives of others. I trained as a chef in the early stages of my career and am able to carry out a number of domestic support duties. I worked as a support worker in the beginning of my care career supporting people suffering from autism and downs syndrome. I have been a registered manager for a mental health service and worked within substance misuse. I possess an nvq 2 and 3 in care and also a qcf level 5 in leadership and management(care).
