| I have worked with many aspects of care from people with Autism to Downs Syndrome. I like to help people to live quality lives and to achieve what ever they want to. I think the world and people do not listen to people and put restrictions on them. I like to get to know people and find the ways and opportunities to get them what they want. I do anything from cooking to cleaning to personal care and more importantly helping people to get out and achieve. I have been in high end sales most of my life but know enjoy helping people. I have received care training in a care home and in domiciliary care. I have also spent many years working with several men from 17 to 40 in a private home helping them over come obstacles.

| I am especially interested in supporting people with complex needs and Autism or communication needs. I have several creative skills including crafts and photography, dog walking and textiles which I would like to share to enhance the caring process. I would especially be willing to help with healthy lifestyles and weight loss and easy exercise motivation support. I am fortunate to be fit, able and capable but am empathetic with people who have difficulties and need strong motivation to do things for themselves.

| I am a qualified primary school teacher who has over ten years of experience of working with children with additional needs both in educational and home settings. I am good at building relationships with families and I’m a quick learner. I am reliable, punctual and have good organisational skills. The majority of my experience is with children on the autistic spectrum and those with profound and multiple learning disabilities such as cerebral palsy. I have experience and current training with G/J tubes, making and giving medication, epilepsy, using hoists and providing personal care. I am also first aid trained and have basic Makaton training. I am happy and willing to be trained to provide the care that will suit your family. I am available most weekends during term time but have additional weekday availability during school holidays. In my free time I enjoy watching rugby and I am a youth ambassador for the Haemophilia Society.

I have worked with a range of different ages, from children to the elderly and whom have had a variety of learning and physical disabilities. | I have experience with a group of boys with various special needs here in the Abbey in Sutton Courtenay. My niece has cerebral palsy so I am familiar with the needs and the situations arising from this condition. I am very patient and reassuring. For 6 years I have been caring for my niece.
