Special Needs Care in Didcot

| My career in care started at a young age as I cared for my mother who had Huntington’s disease. I received my professional NVQ level 3 Nursing Qualification in 2016, I then decided to moved to London where I spent some years working as a domicilary carer. Here I cared people who had varied needs and disabilities. From elderly clients, stroke survivors, to young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. I then went on to work in an assisted living home for adults with learning disabilities for 3 years. I worked as the Assistant Team Manager for the last 2 years, managing staff whilst also completing personal care, catheter care, assisting with feeding, helping with social interactions and activities. I took a few years off work during covid and had my son who is now 2. I returned to work in dom care last year. Care again for elderly clients and vulnerable people in my local community. I have really enjoyed my career in care so far and building a long lasting relationship with all my clients. I believe in a holistic approach to care and treating everyone with the dignity and respect the deserve especially the most vulnerable people in our community. I’m looking to work 3 waking nights per week.

| I have 5 years of experience working with individuals with a wide range of Learning disabilities and complex and profound additional needs. I have experience working as a Therapy Liaison Assistant, Rehabilitation assistant, LSA (Learning Support Assistant) and a carer. I understand the importance of building positive relationships with the individuals I work with including their families to ensure everyone’s happy and comfortable.

| I have just been made redundant working for a professional Widowed gentleman .Having sole charge of two boys and the complete responsibility of running his home, whilst my employer worked in the city. Due to a change in circumstances in my employers personal life I was made redundant. This position I held for 3 years and did not have a days sick which can be verified. Superb reference given.
