I am a qualified primary school teacher who has over ten years of experience of working with children with additional needs both in educational and home settings. I am good at building relationships with families and I’m a quick learner. I am reliable, punctual and have good organisational skills. The majority of my experience is with children on the autistic spectrum and those with profound and multiple learning disabilities such as cerebral palsy. I have experience and current training with G/J tubes, making and giving medication, epilepsy, using hoists and providing personal care. I am also first aid trained and have basic Makaton training. I am happy and willing to be trained to provide the care that will suit your family. I am available most weekends during term time but have additional weekday availability during school holidays. In my free time I enjoy watching rugby and I am a youth ambassador for the Haemophilia Society.
