Animal Behaviour and Welfare Graduate
| I completed a foundation degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare in 2017 and I am now looking to gain further practical experience with animals. Since graduating I have been regularly volunteering with Norfolk Wildlife Trust and The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) which has allowed me to indulge in my passion for wildlife, the environment and conservation. This has also enabled me to improve my wildlife identification skills. I didn't know Sarah before but she has just looked after my 2 cats for 10 days over Christmas and New Year. Whilst I was away, she sent updates of how things were going with pictures of her playing with the cats every other day, which really helped to put my mind at ease. Sarah went above and beyond to be as helpful as possible and to provide plenty of attention to my pets. | Hi there! I've done pet sitting in the past over the summer where I would spend 3 weeks at the owner's home to look after their pets (4 cats and one dog of all age and needs). I have given medicine in the past and I now is the very happy owner of a lovely kitty named Shado who I've had for over 4 years now. I do photography as well and I have previously offered my services during pet sitting for an additional charge of £30 (optional of course). If you ever need to go away and need someone trustworthy to keep an eye on your pet(s) (I only accept cats in my flat as my kitty is afraid of dogs) let me know so we can talk details to make sure everything is perfect for your furry friend(s). If in Central Brighton area I can also come and visit your dog(s) and I am also available for walks. :)

Sometimes helping around exotic animals, pigs, horses, cows, chickens... Also from personal experience growing around animals, I have experience with turtles, fish and birds. I've done house-sitting in my previous roles as a nanny when the family had to go abroad for a few weeks, taking charge of the house, some plants and animals. I've also done pet-sitting for people, short and long term (2 nights up to 2months) looking after dogs, cats, hamsters.. Also taking care of dogs in my own house when I was living in Spain. I'm experienced with dogs with behaviour issues and have the basic skills on dog training based on lessons I've attended with my own dog. I spent a year working in a zoo in Dubai with all types of animals - from exotic animals like monkeys, porcupines, beavers and big cats to domestic animals such as dogs, cats, horses and sheep. I actually adopted a rescued cat from the zoo while I was working there and he is now here in Brighton with me :) I also have one year work experience volunteering at a cat clinic, where I was responsible for around 25 cats at a time. My responsibilities included feeding, cleaning, administering medications and of course lots of cuddles. I have always had pet dogs, cats, rabbits and hamsters (especially cats) growing up and I have two pet rats and a cat at the moment. Growing up I also did some dog walking and pet sitting for extra pocket money. Unfortunately, my cat Kimba passed away a year ago (aged 17) due to a 3 year battle with kidney disease. Towards the end he was definitely quite sick and very frail so I do have experience caring for an older cat and administering medications. Apart from that I have a bachelors and masters degree in Ecology and Animal Conservation and I am currently doing an online Animal Behaviour course.
