| I completed a foundation degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare in 2017 and I am now looking to gain further practical experience with animals. Since graduating I have been regularly volunteering with Norfolk Wildlife Trust and The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) which has allowed me to indulge in my passion for wildlife, the environment and conservation. This has also enabled me to improve my wildlife identification skills. I have had a lifelong passion for animals, with a recent focus on wildlife native to Britain, but I believe all animals are of equal importance and have equal rights to high quality care and welfare. While growing up, I had a keen interest in caring for the family cats and I'm currently the proud owner of a long-haired Persian rescue. Prior to graduating and moving to Norwich, I was a volunteer dog walker at Brighton's RSPCA which allowed me to apply aspects of my degree. As part of my degree I also gained experience in basic animal handling and dog training. I also have experience of caring for rabbits, hamsters and fish. I have held a Pass Plus manual driving licence since 2013 and have access to my own vehicle.

I didn't know Sarah before but she has just looked after my 2 cats for 10 days over Christmas and New Year. Whilst I was away, she sent updates of how things were going with pictures of her playing with the cats every other day, which really helped to put my mind at ease. Sarah went above and beyond to be as helpful as possible and to provide plenty of attention to my pets. I would certainly work with her again and would highly recommend her as a pet carer/house sitter to anyone."

Also for day care roles, dog walking or occasional pet-sitting I have experience as house and pet sitter looking after dogs and cats plus volunteering experience in a Sanctuary looking after small animals such rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, birds.. Sometimes helping around exotic animals, pigs, horses, cows, chickens... Also from personal experience growing around animals, I have experience with turtles, fish and birds. I've done house-sitting in my previous roles as a nanny when the family had to go abroad for a few weeks, taking charge of the house, some plants and animals. I've also done pet-sitting for people, short and long term (2 nights up to 2months) looking after dogs, cats, hamsters.. Also taking care of dogs in my own house when I was living in Spain. I'm experienced with dogs with behaviour issues and have the basic skills on dog training based on lessons I've attended with my own dog. | On top of having an extreme love for animals, I have spent my whole life around animals constantly. I have looked after two dogs throughout my life belonging to my family, this included walking, feeding, day and night sitting. Many years ago I also taught my first dog a few basic tricks such as rolling over, shaking paws. At my current house, we have a cat which frequently comes to stay with us of its own free will which I feed and look after while with us. Also, at my house in my home city, I have a turtle which I have had for almost three years who I care for when home. | I have owned a German Sheppard, a Staffordshire Bullterrier and a Labrador. I'm used to dealing with highly active dogs that need a release of energy 3 times a day as well as elderly and physically challenged dogs who aren't as fast paced. The Labrador I owned had terrible anxiety and arthritis, therefore I'm used to being very cautious, mindfull and adjusting my own behaviour for the dogs mental and physical wellbeing. I'm a very physically active person and am able to take your dog(s) on the walk that best fits their needs. I have experiance with socially anxious dogs and have the necesarry skills to prevent unwanted interractions. I do photography as well and I have previously offered my services during pet sitting for an additional charge of £30 (optional of course). If you ever need to go away and need someone trustworthy to keep an eye on your pet(s) (I only accept cats in my flat as my kitty is afraid of dogs) let me know so we can talk details to make sure everything is perfect for your furry friend(s).
