| I am a qualified nurse with lots of experience with the elderly. Experience with dementia care, physical and and mental health. I'm reliable, caring, compassionate and genuinely love my work.

| I have 30+ years of experience ranging from Autism,Dementia and mental health. I am open to most tasks and have a very flexible approach. I consider myself to be honest,trustworthy,adaptable to change and consiousious.

| I am a assertive and positive professional who is studying a degree in Mental Health Nursing. I have a background in care and have been in care since May 2017. I started off in supported living with people who experience mental health problems and gains skills such as meal preparation, finance handling, personal care, medication training, mobility, activity planning empathy and companionship. I then decided to study a degree in mental health and came across dementia in one of my placements which I find fascinating and rewarding! I want to be able to develop and increase my experience and skill set and believe my skills are needed in the community.

| I have been working as a healthcare support worker on a surgical ward for the past 2 years. Across those two years I have gained an NVQ level 2 in healthcare though an apprenticeship where I experienced many areas of healthcare and have developed a valuable insight into many different kinds of care including end of life, dementia care, palliative care and general care of the elderly. I have done further learning in areas such as: epilepsy, diabetes, learning disabilities, autism awareness and first aid. I have also gained the NHS care certificate and have completed an advanced DBS check. I am able to offer live in services as well as live out with regular visits whether this be on an adhoc or regular basis. I am able to run errands and complete any day to day activities with/for the individual under may care. My aim as a support worker is to listen to and understand every individual and to be able to fulfill their needs in a way that suits them. I want everyone under my care to feel appreciated and valued.

Essentially, the skills offered are towards helping another person. Care is done differently depending on needs and preferences of the individual I will be offering them to. | Hi my name is Lorraine. I have worked in the care sector for 16 years, with experience in both nursing care and dementia care environments. I have also previously worked as a community career. I have an NVQ 2 in Health and Social care. With an extensive portfolio of work based certificates and training. I am medication trained and fully trained in moving and handling. I have experience in dysphagia, as well as assisting with nutrition and hydration (ie thickened fluids). Furthermore I have experience in delivering end of life care and performing last offices. I have been trained in challenging behaviour and carrying out personal centred domiciliary care. I am confident in working as part of a team, as well as working independently. I am fully COVID vaccinated.
