Private Carer to the Elderly.
|
I have worked with the elderly for over 13 years. I began my career as a respite carer for the elderly in London. I would care for the elderly in their own homes, to give their carer a break. From there, I went on to become an Assistant Manager in two residential homes for people with various types of dementia. It was whilst working in the care homes that I gained my qualifications and superb experience. Following this, I worked as a Rehab Officer for the hearing impaired. I was employed by Social Services for this role and worked very closely with the NHS.
I have achieved NVQ 3 in Care and D32 & D33 NVQ Assessor . I also have a Dementia Care Mapping qualification which I studied at Bradford University.
I have experience as a Rehabilitation Officer for the Hearing Impaired. I support people through the process of getting a hearing aid. I am able to assess hearing aid users and non hearing aid users for pieces of equipment which will assist them in hearing the doorbell, telephone, TV and smoke alarms. Feel free to contact me.
