| Help around the home , errands, appointments, medication etc ! Four years experience, own transport , DBS and recent care training and basic first aid completed!

| I have formally worked within the care sector at a care home in Cornwall, which was voted the best care home in the UK. I was trained in a very professional environment and gained my NVQ Level 2 in Care. I loved working with the elderly residents, and made great relationships with them. I believe giving respect and dignity are most important things and go a long way in making people you care for feel important and comfortable. Being able to actively listen is essential, whether this is general conversation or acting on a request, then managing this request working in a person centred way. I am happy to cook clean and actively encourage independence, both in and outside of the home. Outside groups for a social aspect are great to get people out and talking to others if that is what they would like to do. For the last 9 years I have worked as a support worker and Team Leader for a large housing association, I am reliable and honest, you can be certain that your loved one will be the highest priority to me whilst I am the care giver, I also like to have lots of laughs and maintain an easy manner, suitable to the individual I am caring for.
