Elderly Care in Ely

| currently working at a resadensal care home looking after people with dementia and poor mobility/ memory loss I also do house cleaning in cardiff area helping hands to any one needing thar litlle etra help i can do a regular clean or just a one off give me a bell to arrange to meet and chant about what cleaning duties you would like thanks for viewing my add x

| I have always looked after my grandparents since very young and I always adored it and never took the time I spent with them for granted. I think it’s the general consensus that the elderly are easily forgotten about or push to the side. I am here to say that is absurd! I value elderly people and respect the work that they have accomplished over the years. I also have experience working with physical handling care, cleaning, cooking and taking part in activities for the elderly that I want to keep on working towards. I am healthy, young and willing to be a companion to an elderly that needs it. I am a very good listener and I love to listen to stories and experiences that the elderly tend to do often when they’re trusting. I am responsible and never like to let anyone down!

| I am able to help with your house chores, shopping, appointments. I can provide you with all aspects of personal care dressing etc. I can also do pegs feeds blended diets and bolus feeds or help to feed you with everyday food. If you just want company sit in silence listen to the radio or even being read. If their is anything else you would like to know please ask.

| I started working in care at the age of 22, worked 7 years in a nursing home and was trained by the matron to go on to do my nursing degree unfortunately a new job apeared in security which was paying more money and i had a young family to look after .So i did not take the course but had the trainig which has helped me a great deal in my care assistant role.I then worked for allied medicare for 5 yrs as a supervisor working in the community setting up care plans and introducing new survice users to to their new carers and following up on the progress.After they closed down .i then worked for scope for 3 years in mental health and worked with a broad spectrum of mental health .Started working in domaciliary care for 2 years. then went back into a nursing home for 2 years and now i have been back in the community for 1 year,But with all this experiance i think its time to go it alone . I feel i have much more to offer to service users than a genral #####.## all my current jobs i have won awards for best carer and had promotions constanly , but i really think i could go it alone now with all my years of experiance.

I have level 3 & 5 health and social care qualification, and registered with social care wales. I adhere to the legislations within social care and support individuals in a person centred way. I have experience with carrying out personal care duties, supporting people to health appointments and accessing their communities and attend activities. I am a driver, with access to my own car with business insurance. I have experience with supporting individuals who are epileptic and need rescue medication, as well as those with complex health conditions.
