| I offer care and understanding especially for people with dementia I help with day to day chores I support family members when things become difficult and overwhelming I cared for my mother who had dementia over 10 years I have a client with terminal cancer who loves going shopping, I help changing beds, cleaning and she has no family members nearby so often she likes me to take her to lunch or a coffee and cake. Another lady has had a stroke, she has carers 4 times a day I go to encourage speech, we sing, she reads to me. It has helped immensely with her speech. I have a lovely lady with dementia who I visit weekly. She lives with her daughter, I know from my own experiences what having a few hours break means. I have done some overnight visits, we do a bit of knitting listen to old songs and a bit of cooking. I collect her from her day centre on a weekly basis and take her for appointments. I have a gentleman who after several infections has come to rely on me.
