Ever since I can remember, I have known that children will be a big part of my life. I started babysitting at the age of 15. Children open up to me almost immediately. They trust me and talk to me because I can relate to them and their world and their imagination. My internships, while I was studying childcare, taught me that every child is different and they all need to be spoken to and cared for differently. They all have their own background and story. It takes time to figure out what goes on in a child’s mind and I take my time to listen and try to understand why a child is the way he or she is. Then I try to work out what I can do to make their lives easier and better.
