Childcare in Havering

| I started off my level 2 childcare in 2014, I did a placement for a year in a Pre-School in Hornchurch. I then completed his after a year and was asked to be kept on as an apprentice, which I decided to agree to and to complete my level 3. Within my level 3 you need to work with babies so I visisted a full day nursery as my job is only term time. Here I completed my level 3 and I now have a full time Job in the same Pre-School that I first started off in 3 years ago. I love my job, however, it is only 9-3 and term time only, so I am looking for work in the evenings and during half terms and summer holidays.

| I had worked in a nursery with new borns to pre teens for a year and a half. I had to organise activities up to 20 children. For after school children I made sure they did any homework that was necessary. I had cooked and served the children lunch and tea. I have a childcare first aid certificate. And childcare level 2 nationals.

| I worked in childcare for 2 years from the age of 18. Unfortunately, due to the pay rate that the jobs were offering, I had to change career path. Although, I have continued to babysit in my extra hours due to my passion to work with children. I have also worked privately with a child with disabilities.I am creative and bubbly! My family call me the ‘child whisper’ as children do normally take a liking to me and within minutes we’re playing princesses/princes and dragons! Please note that I do not have a qualifications apart from GCSE level child care studies.

| I have worked in child care for many years, my first job being in a residential care home for disabled/special needs children and young adults and it has given me a real sense of achievement and reward. I believe that I make a good child carer because I am patient yet firm, kind, caring and assertive but also realise when and how to give the appropriate discipline depending on the situation. And I am a hard worker and will carry out any task given to me to the best of my best ability.
