| My name is Regan. I am 20 years old and I am currently studying a BA (hons) in Psychology and Special Educational Needs. Coming from a large family with younger siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins I think it's fair to say that I have been exposed to childcare in one form or another my whole life. Whilst being an older sibling is where my passion for childcare started it has since led me to pursue other forms of child centred work outside of my home, such as being a creche worker at Tiddlers and Toddlers creche during my school holidays , as well as encouraging me to start my own babysitting business which I successfully ran for over 9 months. During my gap year, I also spent 5 months working as a teaching assistant in a primary school setting. This role provided me with exposure into SEN as I predominantly worked with a number of SEN pupils and thus sparked my interest in SEN and therefore leading to me to pursue a career in such field. For a young person I feel I have quite a lot of experience of working around children and as it is something which I enjoy I would really appreciate any opportunities to continue building my experience.

| I’ve worked in a nursery for the past 2 years. But now would like to work my own way , getting to know more families and children. This will help with my experience and give me more chances to learn and grow. I’m 2 exams away from being level 3 qualified in childcare. I like setting up activities for children , I like baking with children as it gives them experiences. With the children I’d try to take them out as much as possible ( when not in school) using public transport or walking places.
