PA for our disabled teenage son 2 evenings a week
by Colin • Guildford
Our son is looking for a PA to help him explore the world and develop his independence. He is after someone caring, who is keen to work with young people and help them develop to their full potential. You will need to be DBS checked (we are happy to help organise that). As well as providing some personal care, the role would include helping him develop independent cooking skills and other household tasks. Over time, the hours might expand to support him going out bowling or to the cinema, playing board games, etc. He is a lively 15 year old who likes Minecraft, train simulators, playing with the family dogs and board games. He is also a wheelchair user and someone who communicates through a mix of signs and a computer. If you know a bit of Makaton already that would be wonderful.
We would also be open to longer hours for someone willing to take on other household chores (cleaning, ironing, etc), but that isn’t a requirement.
£78 - £1006 Hr. / Week
Starts: Shortly

My sister is 58 and in good health apart from her schizophrenia. She is sweet, gentle and very sociable. She does not always make alot of sense conversationally and can be vulnerable when alone. We are looking for someone to take her out a few times a week for companionship (and a bit of exercise if we can persuade her). She loves going out for coffee and talking to people. Also, some walking would be great. She is a member of National Trust. Days and times are ########....### is currently free Sat-Weds. Even occasional work would be helpful, as she loves to meet new people. Feel free to ask for any further info. We live in Bramley, near Guildford.
