| I have been babysitting for several years, but am just branching into the nanny field. I currently work as an EA at an elementary school. I will be going into year 3 of Psychology at Lakehead Orillia. I am capable of doing homework or tutoring, I can cook, and I am capable of bathing, cleaning, etc. I had my babysitting certification in 2016 (which covers a vast array of childcare skills), and was trained in school for CPR and working defibrillators (general first aid). I have lots of experience with children!

| I was an au pair for three months to kids that were four and six, they taught me a lot about life, although not having the language to communicate I have so much appreciation for kids and how they hold the world so gently in their hearts. I am an advocate for respecting kids just as you would respect anyone else, they deserve to speak and be heard to the same degree. It is important that children know that they are perceived as valuable as anyone else. It is just as important to communicate your emotions in a calm and clear manner and in order to create a safe place for children, to hold space for them to do the same and allow them to express as much as they need to. I initially became interested in working with kids because my mom is a child and youth care worker and the stories she would tell me were so endearing. I am attentive to small details that make life so beautiful.
