Hello there, we are seeking support for our 33-year old son wit special needs. He is diagnosed with epilepsy, which resulted in a developmental delay. He is fully mobile and non-verbal, however don't let that fool you he will certainly express when he is happy or sad in his own way. He needs 1:1 support at all times due to his epilepsy and uncontrolled seizures. We are looking for someone to support our family and have fun with out son. She currently attends Humber College CICE program.
In family home, with two parents, located in mid-town Toronto.
Applicant should be happy energetic person.
Capable of physical transfers.
Primary job to assist physical needs - with showering, dressing and toileting.
Some meal preparation, light housekeeping and family pet care
Organized and tidy. Able to follow a routine.
Driving experience and willingness to get CND licence a plus.
Post-secondary education a plus.
Ability to swim and drive would be a great asset.
Favor a person with a variety of interests for example singing, arts & crafts
Requires flexibility with hours on a 25-30 hour per week schedule.
Pay at up to $30 per hour depending on experience.
Possible live-in but not required.
