I have a graduate degree in Mental Health and am a retired Mental Health counselor looking for a position as a senior companion. I provide Elder Care with kindness and a gentle spirit. I can provide: transportation to appointments, shopping, out to lunch, walking, Senior Center, lite meal prep, medication reminders, companion care, and other unique needs. I can work as few as 1-2 days a week, or on a weekly basis. As well, I am a hospice volunteer and can lend a listening ear with respect and an open heart. I am a non-smoker and have had all my Covid shots and boosters.

I hired Hazel as a care companion for my aging mother who has early stage dementia and is unable to get out of the house without assistance; it was becoming difficult for me to manage everything on my own with a full time career. Hazel sees my mother 2 times a week to get her out of the house and provide some socialization. Hazel is great at keeping me updated, communicating with my mother, providing suggestions on things to do, assisting my mom in navigating the senior center and other helpful senior resources, and helping with grocery shopping and MD appointments etc. My mother enjoys her time with Hazel and looks forward to each visit. Hazel has taken some of the burden off of me and has helped elevate my moms overall mood and feelings of isolation. Hazel has been flexible with her time and always promptly notifies me if she can't make a visit. My mom and I plan to continue utilizing Hazels services and gladly recommend her if you need help with your loved ones.
