We are seeking a full-time nanny for our 2. 5-year-old son. Our current babysitter/nanny is going back to school in the fall and we must fill this position asap.
About our son:
He's an active, fun, and quite adventurous 2. 5-year-old. He loves playing with his toys (cars, trucks, coloring), and going for daily trips to the nearby park's playground and walks. Given the sunny weather, he's been getting in the pool a lot. Should you be interested in the position, it will more than likely require some pool playtime. Please keep in mind, He is 2, so he can have his stubborn moments. We want someone who knows how to calmly redirect, switch activities, and help him bring down the energy should he get frustrated. He's not a heavy talker just yet, but the words and sign language he does know are helpful.
About the position:
You will be required to change some diapers, help wash hands, and light meal preparation (snacks and some lunches). We want someone that will clean up after our son, and not us. You're not a maid. Simply a caregiver to him. Wash his dishes when he's done, clean up his chair and toys, and that's it. Should he need a change of clothes, that as well. He may start up his music classes again for summer/fall, and we'd like someone who can drive and has their own car. We will provide the car seat. His music classes are here in Green Hills about 5 mins away from our home. Other than that, no other driving is required.
Hours:
The hours listed are what's needed. There will be a two hour break for you from 12-2 for his nap. This may change to about 12:30-2 (possibly) as his naps shift.
Weekends:
Weekends are not required. We may have a weekend or two where we care would needed for an evening, but those are few and far between. So, assume that you're off. We would ask way in advance if we need anything. Should you want to work the weekend, that could be discussed.
**Note: we do not want a babysitter that'll watch tv with him, but someone who can be hands-on, have fun with, and give him attention. Not just scroll all day. Just want to make this clear before anyone reaches out.**
