This class is great for those who simply want to discover a new language, reinforce language in a bilingual household, or expose their little to the many amazing cultures that make up our country! Our Baby Music Classes for infants and young toddlers provides an opportunity for parents and/or caregivers to sing and dance with their little ones to build and strengthen connections. Music supports and nurtures all areas of child development: Social-emotional, Cognitive, Language and Literacy, as well as both areas of physical development, fine and gross motor development. During this bilingual class, we’ll sing traditional songs in English and Spanish, and learn many new ones, often using fun visual props to help support language development and symbolic thinking, while encouraging simple, early vocabulary in both English and Spanish. Most of our staff has extensive background in Early Childhood Education, intentionally exposing children to a rich variety of language, beats, and sounds while remaining developmentally appropriate. In the JAMaROO Kids Dance and Creative Movement Classes, children are introduced to the basics of dance. In the JAMaROO Kids Dance and Creative Movement Classes, children are introduced to the basics of dance. Classes include a warm-up circle, stretching games, imaginative dance, partner dance, and free dance. Throughout the year, students will build their dance repertoire by adding: combination steps, body isolations, and layers of movement, keeping them challenged and engaged. Dance and creative movement is a wonderful way to foster self expression, while building gross motor skills, which we know are so essential to a child's ability to be independent and confident! In all of our JAMaROO Kids classes children are introduced to different genres of music from around the world, and are encouraged to use their imaginations. Each month we will focus on music & dance moves from a different part of the world. At JAMaROO Kids all of our music, dance, and yoga curriculum is developed to support and foster all five key areas of development: Cognitive, Speech & Language, Gross Motor Development, Fine Motor Development, Social and Emotional. This session, we will focus on fun on the Arctic, Dinosaurs, and the Enchanted Garden! This is a 6 week session for Monday classes, and 8 week session for Tuesday-Friday classes. Move, sing and dance with Teacher Laura at the Noe Valley Kids Club! This class is great for those who simply want to discover a new language, reinforce language in a bilingual household, or expose their little to the many amazing cultures that make up our country! This class for infants and young toddlers provides an opportunity for parents and/or caregivers to sing and dance with their little ones to build and strengthen connections. Music supports and nurtures all areas of child development: Social-emotional, Cognitive, Language and Literacy, as well as both areas of physical development, fine and gross motor development. During this bilingual class, we’ll sing traditional songs in English and Spanish, and learn many new ones, often using fun visual props to help support language development and symbolic thinking, while encouraging simple, early vocabulary in both English and Spanish. Most of our staff has extensive background in Early Childhood Education, intentionally exposing children to a rich variety of language, beats, and sounds while remaining developmentally appropriate. Our programs offer a joyful and rewarding experience for both adults and children, providing a great occasion for babies to interact with other babies and parents to meet other parents. This class includes: Bilingual Music, Movement, Dance and Storytime. 15 MINUTE EXPLORATION TIMES: We are eager to build community together as we open our JAMaROO Kids Club!
