Come bring your little one to explore all of their senses with Teacher Jane at JAMaROO Kids Noe Valley! Save the mess at home, and let us provide your little with the fun sensory experiences that are so important to their development! Let their little hands explore and create their own masterpiece, and explore all of their curiosities in a safe and fun environment! Discover textures with different mediums, such as paint, sponges, craft paper, elements of nature and more! In the JAMaROO Kids Sensory Art classes, we will pull our inspiration from our monthly curriculum, nature, and the changing seasons using our books, puppets, & music to enhance the class: providing a full sensory experience. Children will explore different art mediums while fostering speech & language development, and exploring textures, colors & shapes. At JAMaROO Kids all of our music, dance, yoga and art curriculum is developed to support and foster all five key areas of development: Cognitive, Speech & Language, Gross Motor Development, Fine Motor Development, Social and Emotional. This class includes: Sensory Play and Art 15 MINUTE EXPLORATION TIMES: We are eager to build community together as we open our JAMaROO Kids Club! We invite you to arrive up to 15 minutes before your class, and stay up to 15 minutes after your class ends, to explore our space with your littles! We simply ask that you adhere to the 15 minute windows before and after out of respect for the previous class, and the following class. If you would like to play in our space for longer please consider signing up for one of our open playtime hours- these can also be found on our registration page. Thank you for your cooperation! This session, we will focus on fun on the Arctic, Dinosaurs, and the Enchanted Garden! This is a 6 week session for Monday classes, and 8 week session for Tuesday-Friday classes. Session package prices are adjusted accordingly. IMPORTANT DATES No Classes Monday January 20th for Martin Luther King, Jr Day No Classes Monday February 17th for President’s Day **You Are NOT Charged for classes in the session package for the weeks we have closures.**

Meet our instructors

Melissa Torres
Instructor
Melissa Torres joined JAMaROO Kids in the Spring of 2024 as our onsite Operations Manager and teacher at our San Francisco JAMaROO Kids Club, where you can find her working Monday through Friday. Melissa attended UC Santa Cruz, where she studied Anthropology, and the City College of San Francisco, where she studied Child Development and earned her 12 E.C.E units, fulfilling the state licensing requirement for preschool teachers. Melissa joined JAMaROO Kids with 7 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. Before joining Team JAMaROO, she worked as a preschool teacher in the East Bay, where she enjoyed finding creative ways to inspire curiosity in the children. She believes that the arts are a joyful and fundamental part of a child’s development and continues to incorporate her love of art and music into all of her work. Melissa is a self-taught ukulele player and singer and also loves to dance. In her free time, she enjoys listening to audiobooks, hiking and backpacking, practicing yoga, and snuggling with her 4-year-old cat named Caspian. Some of her favorite things include traveling, painting, completing crossword puzzles, knitting, and thrift shopping. When Melissa was asked what she loves about working for JAMaROO Kids and working with children, she responded with, “I love seeing the way that art and music can bring joy to adults and children alike. I appreciate having a sense of community and kindness in the place where I work.” Fun Facts: Melissa moved to San Francisco 9 years ago from New York where she grew up. She has a younger brother who lives in Dallas. Favorite Animal: Cat Favorite Colors: Green and Pink Favorite Food: Sushi

Refunds We do not offer refunds. If for any reason JAMaROO Kids has to cancel the class due to an emergency - we will credit you for the class or book a makeup class. Make- ups: We are now allowing two make-ups for missed classes per session. Your make-up classes must be arranged by the office and will be limited to the classes we have space in. Make-up classes do not carry over from one session to the next. SIBLING DISCOUNT Please note that the sibling discount is reserved to siblings/children residing at the same address. It is not valid for other arrangements (i.e Nanny Shares). We also require legal guardians/parents to register their children for emergency contact and liability reasons. Please do not have nannies/caregivers register on your behalf. JAMaROO Kids Referral Program If you register for a session, you can take advantage of our Referral Program any time during the session! Bring a new friend who has never attended a JAMaROO Kids class to class with you for FREE! If they register for the session after, we will add a credit for one class to your account, to be used toward a future class or session purchase. Please note: This offer includes one Free Drop-in per child in the guest family.
