Kiddos will spend the day preparing for the festivities with crafting decorations and pretend cakes, dressing in costumes, play theater games, and enjoy a special puppet show. Start your day off right with mindful, guided movement at JAMaROO Kids Noe Valley! In the JAMaROO Kids Early Bird Stretch and Sing class, rise and shine and begin your day with gentle, fun stretching, gratitude, and song! Start off on the right foot and have a great day! We will incorporate simple yoga poses, centered breath work, and encourage vocabulary by identifying parts of our bodies, naming yoga poses, and singing songs. Best yet, take this time to bond with your kiddo! Classes include a warm-up, stretching games, and imaginative story telling. Move, sing and dance with Teacher Jamaica at JAMaROO Kids Union Street! This class includes: Music, Movement, Dance and Storytime. Our Baby Music Classes for infants and young toddlers provide an opportunity for parents and/or caregivers to sing and dance with their little ones to build and strengthen connections. Music supports and nurtures all areas of child development: Social-emotional, Cognitive, Language and Literacy, as well as both areas of physical development, fine and gross motor development. In this class, we will explore a genre of music from a different place and era every two weeks (such as reggae, rock n’ roll, soul, funk, disco, pop, jazz, classical)! Children will hear samples of this music, learn about its typical instrumentation, learn to sing a song from this genre, and learn dance moves…which we will then try out as a group! We will also learn about key artists from each genre, and listen to and discuss one of their pieces. In addition, children will also be introduced to basic concepts of music theory, such as rhythm, tempo, dynamics, and timbre. Activities such as clapping out/playing basic rhythms by reading notes, identifying dynamics within a piece of music (piano- soft, forte- loud), learning and singing solfege, and identifying musical instruments within pieces will be regular parts of this class! Welcome to a season of sensory magic at Messy Art Lab! Our Winter Toddler Classes are bursting with hands-on fun and creative exploration. Each week, little artists will dive into handmade play dough , explore colorful sensory stations, and get immersed in activities that are perfect for little hands and big imaginations. Messy play is encouraged, and little ones will love the chance to explore, squish, and create. Class Experience: Toddler Messy Art Exploration' is a sensory and art-based experience for children. Activities include, but are not limited to exploring with slime, doughs, clay, painting, sifting, transferring, and more. This class is a time for caretakers to observe and support the children letting them follow their own pace through the experiences set up in class. Notes To make the most of this experience, please follow your child's lead. Step back and observe. We invite you to resist the urge to “show” your child the “right” way because in doing that we end up robbing our children of that magical moment when they discover it all on their own.
