Move, sing and dance with Teacher Sohnjay at JAMaROO Kids Cow Hollow! Our Baby Music Classes for infants and young toddlers provide an opportunity for parents and/or caregivers to sing and dance with their little ones to build and strengthen connections. Music supports and nurtures all areas of child development: Social-emotional, Cognitive, Language and Literacy, as well as both areas of physical development, fine and gross motor development. During these classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn many new ones, often using fun visual props to help support language development and symbolic thinking. Most of our staff has extensive background in Early Childhood Education, intentionally exposing children to a rich variety of language, beats, and sounds while remaining developmentally appropriate. Our programs offer a joyful and rewarding experience for both adults and children, providing a great occasion for babies to interact with other babies and parents to meet other parents. The Ukulele is the perfect first instrument for young children. This naturally small instrument fits so well into their small hands! JAMaROO Kids is excited to offer this Intro to Ukulele class led by two of our most beloved senior staff members, Sara Jayne and Sohnjay. They bring so much joy and laughter to the classroom that your children will be sure to instill a love for music for years to come in this small group class! In the Rabbit Hole Queendom, there is said to be a secret lagoon where not just any mermaids exist- but shimmering, iridescent, rainbow mermaids! Spend these 7 weeks in the Ocean of Possibilities as we pretend to be merkids, embracing play and imagination as we create aquatic crafts and make new friends! Little Folkies is a multi-award winning early childhood folk music program for parents and kids ages 0-5. Little Folkies Family music class welcomes babies, toddlers and preschoolers along with their parents, grandparents and caregivers to come together every week to sing together like one big family band! There is never a dull moment in this class, with the teacher leading the students through fun and engaging finger play activities, hand movements, fun lap songs, call and response singing and hands-on jamming with shakers and wooden kids instruments. Wake up and dance at JAMaROO Kids Noe Valley! Come fly like a butterfly, hop like a bunny, stomp like an elephant, and tip toe like a mouse! In the JAMaROO Kids Dance and Creative Movement Classes, children are introduced to the basics of dance. Classes include a warm-up circle, stretching games, imaginative dance, partner dance, and free dance. Throughout the year, students will build their dance repertoire by adding: combination steps, body isolations, and layers of movement, keeping them challenged and engaged. Each week, little artists will dive into handmade play dough , explore colorful sensory stations, and get immersed in activities that are perfect for little hands and big imaginations. Messy play is encouraged, and little ones will love the chance to explore, squish, and create. Class Experience: Toddler Messy Art Exploration' is a sensory and art-based experience for children. Activities include, but are not limited to exploring with slime, doughs, clay, painting, sifting, transferring, and more. This class is a time for caretakers to observe and support the children letting them follow their own pace through the experiences set up in class.
