Each week, little artists will dive into handmade play dough , explore colorful sensory stations, and get immersed in activities that are perfect for little hands and big imaginations. In class, children go on a yoga adventure using their imaginations and the art of storytelling to help navigate through yoga poses. Our destinations include hiking in the Mountains, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, going on a Safari in Africa, or sledding in the North Pole. On our journey, we play yoga games, sing yoga songs, and practice breathing techniques. Our goal is to give young children a developmentally appropriate way to explore yoga poses, mindfulness and social emotional learning. In this class, children will work on developing and strengthening the following: Speech and language skills, Cognitive development, Creative thinking, Problem solving, Team work, Concentration, Listening Skills, Yoga Poses, Balance, Coordination, Flexibility, Strength, Social Emotional Learning, Breathing techniques, and Self Calming skills This session, we will focus on fun on the Arctic, Dinosaurs, and the Enchanted Garden! This is a 6 week session for Monday classes, and 8 week session for Tuesday-Friday classes. Session package prices are adjusted accordingly. Music, Movement, Dance & Storytime with Teacher Jane at Alta Plaza Park. Come clap your hands, stomp your feet, and shake your hips to the rhythm and the beat! In the JAMaROO Kids Music & Movement classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn original ones too (many written by our own teachers). Our music curriculum has been developed to spark creativity and incorporate imaginative play. Each month, we’ll focus on a different seasonal curriculum that incorporates the use of puppets, books, and other props to maximize the educational experience and keep classes fun and exciting! Throughout the year, our teachers will use a variety of simple instruments and introduce children to different genres of music from around the world. Through movement activities, children will build gross motor skills, directly encouraging strength, balance, and coordination. Our teachers will use bean bags, scarves, shakers, rhythm sticks, and other equipment to make classes more interactive and hands-on. At JAMaROO Kids all of our music, dance, and yoga curriculum is developed to support and foster all five key areas of development: Cognitive, Speech & Language, Gross Motor Development, Fine Motor Development, Social and Emotional. Move, sing and dance with Teacher Jane on Mondays and Teacher Jamaica on Wednesdays at Lafayette Park. Our Baby Music Classes for infants and young toddlers provide an opportunity for parents and/or caregivers to sing and dance with their little ones to build and strengthen connections. Music supports and nurtures all areas of child development: Social-emotional, Cognitive, Language and Literacy, as well as both areas of physical development, fine and gross motor development. During these classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn many new ones, often using fun visual props to help support language development and symbolic thinking.  Most of our staff has extensive background in Early Childhood Education, intentionally exposing children to a rich variety of language, beats, and sounds while remaining developmentally appropriate. Our programs offer a joyful and rewarding experience for both adults and children, providing a great occasion for babies to interact with other babies and parents to meet other parents.
