RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE AT LEAST 3 HOURS IN ADVANCE (this class will not be visible after that time) as materials must be prepared in advance. There is a $5 fee if you do not cancel your reservation at least 1 hour in advance and do not attend class. Thank you for your understanding. Focusing on process over product, children will get to express themselves while using various art mediums and themes. Classes include story time with a snack. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in glass? Do you want to expand your creative side and want to produce awesome art right away? Then Great Fused Plates is what you are looking for. The Art House, in conjunction with Bullseye Glass, will be holding a 4 hour fused glass workshop. All materials are provided. Workshop attendees will be introduced to glass fusing with Bullseye's Great Plates introduction video and then under the instruction of Marty Robbins create hands on designs ready for the kiln. After firing you will have 2 of your own one of a kind 8" x 8" plate. This workshop is designed for adults but kids ages 12 and up are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Sign up family or friends in the same registration and they get 20% of automatically. Attendees ages 12-18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Winter Semester (January-Mid March) "Expressive Impressionism" takes the core techniques of Impressionism but adds a stronger emphasis on conveying emotion and personal interpretation through more dynamic brushwork, and exaggerated color. This course explores Impressionist themes, techniques, and various impressionistic artists. Students choose their own subjects and mediums while implementing the lessons learned in class. The instructor is an expert in chalk pastel, oil, acrylic, or watercolor. Supplies are available for use but it is encouraged for students to bring their own in order to continue working in their own studio between classes. We can provide a recommended supply list for the medium of choice if needed. Various techniques will be demonstrated to help guide students to their project goals. Students may choose to follow along step by step or work more independently, getting guidance as needed. Either way is welcome. Classes are limited in size, so sign up today!
