No school? No problem! Send them here to enjoy a day full of creativity and fun! Today we will be creating a fun painting with special paints that glow under black light!! The kids absolutely love the moment we turn on the black lights and they get to see their paintings shine!! They also enjoy free-draw stations, creative stations, and games! In the afternoon we get to play with clay!! Each child will create their own tasty treat, made from air-dry clay, that they will paint and decorate. Such fun! The perfect way to spend the day!!

Join us for this fantastic 6-week creative workshop! Students will design and build their very own dollhouse, and create furniture and friends to go inside! Using items like wallpaper scraps, card-stock, fabric, recycled materials, paint, and lots of imagination, the students will build the house of their dreams! Each week students will work on a different aspect of their house, such as the exterior, living area, kitchen, their dolls, and some pets! We will be putting a lot of time and detail into every aspect to make it extra special! Each class is 90-mins, and will be held weekly on Tuesday evenings, from 6:00-7:30 pm. Students will work on individual canvases that will be collaborated into a united mural that will be displayed at the shop and later dismantled for each to take a piece home. This weekly 2-hour class is a great option for kids looking to move ahead with their artistic talents. The students are given more independence and freedom to be creative with the projects. Projects often run for 3-4 weeks to give students the extra time to create a really impressive piece. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

Our project will involve each student choosing a natural or celestial theme as their muse and reinterpreting it in Thomas's distinctive style, using bold colors and dynamic compositions. This exercise promises to be not only a creative exploration but also a meaningful homage to one of the first African-American women to receive a solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Art Lessons perfect for ages 4-6 years. 1-hour class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our beginner classes throughout the school-year!
