It's time to let your creativity run wild in this week's Alexander Calder project. Famous for his kinetic abstract sculptures, Calder changed the game by introducing mobility to fine art. Students will mimic this adjustable art by incorporating various movable parts to wire and clay sculptures, challenging their concept of balance and design. Perfect class for children ages 7-9 years old. 90-min class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our intermediate classes throughout the school-year! Join us on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday each week... or whenever it's convenient for you! We do the same project each of those days for each week, and then something new for the next week!

This week we're putting our illustrative skills to the test as we recreate this enchanting sun and moon design. Students will embrace the concept of line to capture expression, in this step by step project. They will sharpen their drawing skills before running wild with color. Focusing on design and composition, their art will shine with this illuminating caricature of celestial bodies. Art Lessons perfect for ages 4-6 years. 1-hour class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our beginner classes throughout the school-year! Acrylic Landscapes: It may be cold and grey outside, but we can always find an escape through art! This project invites students to travel the world as they explore acrylic landscapes of their dream vacation destination. This weekly 2-hour class is a great option for kids looking to move ahead with their artistic talents. Students can choose to come on Tuesdays, or Thursdays, or both! Whatever works best for your schedule. The students are given more independence and freedom to be creative with the projects, and they have more autonomy in how their projects go. Projects often run for 3-4 weeks to give students the extra time to create a really impressive piece. Recommended for ages 10-16.
