Does your child love stuffed animals? Do they want to make their own? This class is the place for them! For eight weeks each child will sew their own stuffies and create other fiber art projects using yarn, felt, fabric and so much more! This class is an hour and a half every Friday, and is welcome to all kiddos ages 7-11, no matter their sewing experience!

At the Studio we're lucky to have ceramic artists eager to share their craft with your kids. This week-long camp will focus on a mixture of hand building and wheel throwing. We will create a variety of bowls, plates, cups, vases, and more while experimenting with surface design and glazes.

This week, we'll be mixing it up with a combination of printmaking techniques and bookmaking. We'll be using image transfers, stamping, embossing, scratch boards, and paper marbling to create one-of-a-kind prints. And, to bring it all together, we will use folding, sewing, and clamp binding techniques to create a set of small books. It's going to be chock full of FUN art making and storytelling! Note: Prints & Books is offered twice during the summer. The techniques may overlap, but the projects are different in each session - so feel free to register for one week or both for double the fun! Here at the Studio we're stockpiled with art supplies that give young children the chance to explore a variety of topics and activities. Our art projects will reinforce emerging skills as we work on letters, numbers, fine motor skills, and creative expression. This thoughtful combination is designed to expand and stimulate our youngest student’s minds in a fun, art-rich environment. NOTE: We will follow the Winchester Public School Calendar. There will be no Messy Mushy Preschool Art on days when Winchester Public Schools are closed or on half-days (no class on Feb 19th). While your child is welcome to register for Messy Mushy on multiple days of the week, please note our curriculum is designed to repeat the same set of projects in each class. We offer after school pick up from Neighborhood Coop Nursery School at 12pm for students attending the half day NCNS program.

Spend your vacation getting creative! Come on over to Studio on the Common for some nonstop, art-filled fun! We'll have daily programs, so you can sign up for just one day or the whole week. With a creative mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media projects it's sure to be a blast!

Give your child the gift of creativity! Kids ages 9-13 who love art will thrive in this class where they'll engage in all sorts of art, access great tools and materials, and learn from passionate art educators eager to nurture each artist's unique style and talent. Youth Art Studio is a fun, creative space where kids learn to engage as artists, building creative skills that offer lifelong benefits. They'll learn how to approach, organize and plan creative projects; gain ideas and inspiration from the world of art, nature, or our own personal styles and imagination; master artistic tools and techniques necessary to bring creative projects to life; build and benefit from a creative community that supports, inspires and perseveres as each artists grows in skill and capability. In our purpose-built, creative studio students will mix it up with projects that may include drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, fiber arts, and more! Each student will leave with a collection of artworks and their own artist-journal documenting processes learned and artistic growth over time. All journals, tools and materials included.

Our large, private studio is an ideal place for your child and their friends to be led by an artist in creating a unique craft of your choice. The craft usually lasts an hour and depending on the group's age and interest we can also run games to keep the children moving and let them explore our floor to ceiling white board wall. Our teacher will greet the children, run your craft, and clean up. Relax and leave the mess to us so your can enjoy your child's special day! We provide two hours in the studio with a teacher led craft. A full list of party themes is available on our Birthday Party website page. Custom projects are available for a small additional fee of $30. This payment of $150 is a non-refundable deposit to hold your space for the party. Full cost is $395 for up to 10 attendees and $15/additional child to be settled the day of the party.

Calling all young artists to join Art Club! Art club is many things...It's a creative space bursting with the supplies and materials artists use to make beautiful art. It's a learning place teaching skills in drawing, painting, sculpting, collage, clay and more! It's a nurturing community encouraging friendships and camaraderie as we create art together. With a different book each day, kids will create art that explores the connection between books, storytelling, and art. As they unleash their imagination and create their own unique interpretations and artwork, projects might include a mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and more! This fan favorite class is perfect for the animal lover in your life! Your artist will have fun making art about all kinds of animals and where they live! We'll get inspired as we use a variety of media; sculpture, paint, pastels, pencils, and so much more to explore animals and their habitats!
