At the Studio we're lucky to have ceramic artists eager to share their craft with your kids. This week-long camp will focus on a mixture of hand building and wheel throwing. We will create a variety of bowls, plates, cups, vases, and more while experimenting with surface design and glazes.

We've got an art extravaganza planned to kick off the Summer! Each day will feature super fun art projects including drawing, painting, sculpture, and more! Join us as we create our FAN FAVORITE projects and start your summer off with some fun and creativity. Some of the AWESOME projects for this week include: Mini flip book Paper mache creation Painting on canvas Optical illusion Impressionistic drawings And so much more!! Art Show outdoor on the Common, Thursday at 4:15pm (weather permitting)!

This week, we'll be mixing it up with a combination of printmaking techniques and bookmaking. We'll be using image transfers, stamping, embossing, scratch boards, and paper marbling to create one-of-a-kind prints. And, to bring it all together, we will use folding, sewing, and clamp binding techniques to create a set of small books. It's going to be chock full of FUN art making and storytelling! Note: Prints & Books is offered twice during the summer. The techniques may overlap, but the projects are different in each session - so feel free to register for one week or both for double the fun! Give your child the gift of creativity! Kids ages 9-13 who love art will thrive in this class where they'll engage in all sorts of art, access great tools and materials, and learn from passionate art educators eager to nurture each artist's unique style and talent. Youth Art Studio is a fun, creative space where kids learn to engage as artists, building creative skills that offer lifelong benefits. They'll learn how to approach, organize and plan creative projects; draw ideas and inspiration from the world of art, nature, or their own personal style and imagination; practice with artistic tools and techniques necessary to bring creative projects to life; build and benefit from a creative community that supports, inspires and perseveres as each artists grows in skill and capability. In our purpose-built, creative studio students will mix it up with projects that may include drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, fiber arts, and more! PROJECTS may include: one-of-a-kind Artist Trading Cards (so fun to trade amongst the group!) paper marbling using Suminagashi techniques (fan favorite!) drawing & painting from direct observation (still life & more) bookmaking (folding, glued and hand-sewn bindings) carving a printing block and making multiple prints (Think Andy Warhol) collaging with a variety of materials (paper, fabric, string, etc - the sky's the limit here!) needle-felted objects (using cookie cutters, patterns, and imagination) All tools and materials included.

Does your child love stuffed animals? Do they want to make their own? This class is the place for them! For six weeks each child will sew their own stuffies and create other fiber art projects using yarn, felt, fabric and so much more! This class is an hour and a half every Friday, and is welcome to all kiddos ages 7-11, no matter their sewing experience!

This beginner-friendly workshop is a great chance to have some family FUN together on a Saturday morning! We welcome children ages 8+, accompanied by a paying adult. Each person (child and adult) will have their own wheel and create their own pottery pieces! Learn the fundamentals of throwing on the wheel and glazing your work. Come on in and get a taste of what our longer wheel throwing courses are like. We think you're going to get hooked! NOTES: This is a two-day workshop. You will throw your pieces during the first session and glaze them during the second session, after a bisque firing in between. Your final work will be ready two weeks later, after the glaze firing. Your $220 registration includes one child and one adult. We welcome children ages 8+ Children must be accompanied by an adult Each participant will have their own wheel. Limited to 10.

Calling all young artists to join Art Club! Art club is many things...It's a creative space bursting with the supplies and materials artists use to make beautiful art. It's a learning place teaching skills in drawing, painting, sculpting, collage, clay and more! It's a nurturing community encouraging friendships and camaraderie as we create art together. Welcome to Art Club! We're excited to watch each member grow in artistic skill and creative confidence while having a TON of fun! In this class we will: -Draw -Paint -Collage -Use modeling clay -and learn real techniques that artists use! All tools and materials included.

Looking for something fun to do during April Break? Join us for this fun-packed 3-day class, where students will learn the basics of throwing on the wheel including centering and opening to create their own unique forms. Each student will have their own wheel for the entirety of the class period. This class is open to beginner - intermediate level students. If you have never taken pottery before OR if you have taken a pottery class with us and would like to improve your skills, we welcome you all to join us!

Spend your vacation getting creative! Come on over to Studio on the Common for some nonstop, art-filled fun! We'll have daily programs, so you can sign up for just one day or the whole week. With a creative mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media projects it's sure to be a blast! While we offer a morning and afternoon class, please note our curriculum is designed to repeat the same set of projects in each class.

This is a FUN party for kiddos who love all things FAIRIES! After story time, they'll have fun creating their very own fairy garden (complete with a fairy)! The party will include fairy drinks, GF, NF treats, and fruit snacks. And, each child will take home their very own copy of the book: How to Catch a Garden Fairy!

Note: Fabulous Fiber Arts is offered twice during the summer.
