Is your child an artist who loves to build, construct, and sculpt? This week, we'll be making 3D art projects that might include dioramas, model magic, felting, string art, found objects, recycled materials, and more! Note: Creations in Sculpture is offered twice during the summer. The techniques may overlap, but the projects are different in each session - so feel free to register for one week or both for double the fun! At the Studio we're lucky to have ceramic artists eager to share their craft with your kids. This week-long camp will focus on a mixture of hand building and wheel throwing. We will create a variety of bowls, plates, cups, vases, and more while experimenting with surface design and glazes.

Our large, private studio is an ideal place for your child and their friends to be led by an artist in creating a unique craft of your choice. The craft usually lasts an hour and depending on the group's age and interest we can also run games to keep the children moving and let them explore our floor to ceiling white board wall. Our teacher will greet the children, run your craft, and clean up. Relax and leave the mess to us so your can enjoy your child's special day! We provide two hours in the studio with a teacher led craft. A full list of party themes is available on our Birthday Party website page. Custom projects are available for a small additional fee of $30. This payment of $150 is a non-refundable deposit to hold your space for the party. Full cost is $395 for up to 10 attendees and $15/additional child to be settled the day of the party.

Does your child love books and storytelling? This week, we'll be using children's stories to inspire our artwork. With a different book each day, kids will create art that explores the connection between books, storytelling, and art. As they unleash their imagination and create their own unique interpretations and artwork, projects might include a mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and more! Some of the AWESOME projects for this week include: Pete the Cat inspired mixed media painting Collage like Eric Carle Larger than life Crayon from the Day the Crayons Quilt And so MUCH MORE! Art show will be outdoors on the Common on Friday at 11:45am, weather permitting.

This course is designed for intermediate potters who want to level up their skills by creating advanced forms including goblets, platters, serving bowls, and pitchers. Each class, we will demonstrate a new form and surface design techniques. Pre-requisites for this course are that you have taken at least one Adult Pottery on the Wheel class at Studio on the Common or a similar course elsewhere OR you can confidently center 3 to 5 lbs of clay on the wheel and pull a cylinder form from it. If you don't meet those prerequisites, we are still offering multiple beginner courses at Studio on the Common for you to learn and practice the basics of wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing. Open Studio time is included with your registration. Additional clay can be purchased at the studio.

Whether you're just starting out or a more seasoned potter, we welcome you to our evening Adult Pottery Sessions. We'll teach the basics of wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing as you create a variety of pieces you'll be proud to show off. The cost of the class includes 25 lbs of clay, tools, glaze, and firing of work made during class time. Additional clay can be purchased at the studio with cash. Open Studio time is included with your registration.

Youth Art Studio is a fun, creative space where kids learn to engage as artists, building creative skills that offer lifelong benefits. They'll learn how to approach, organize and plan creative projects; draw ideas and inspiration from the world of art, nature, or their own personal style and imagination; practice with artistic tools and techniques necessary to bring creative projects to life; build and benefit from a creative community that supports, inspires and perseveres as each artists grows in skill and capability. In our purpose-built, creative studio students will mix it up with projects that may include drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, fiber arts, and more! Each student will leave with a collection of artworks and their own artist-journal documenting processes learned and artistic growth over time. Each day will feature super fun art projects including drawing, painting, sculpture, and more!
