DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS Fireworks, picnics, family, and fun, this week is all about celebration! Get creative and celebrate with the Art House. At this camp your child will get to paint the Texas state flower, bluebonnets, and other wild flowers that garnish the fields around us. Campers will get to design a multiple miniature paintings on 3"x 3" miniature canvases that even come with easels. Spring Semester (Mid March-May) If you’re a Teen who is a fan of action, fantasy, art, or anything in that vein, then come join in on the Dungeons & Dragons Game & Art class! This class is a fusion of traditional art projects and social team-building games; we will be learning how to draw and sketch quickly as we act out characters in a narrative, while also creating maps, portraits, and inventory sheets to fully design and flesh out a character of our own. This class will help you learn how to build worlds, create characters, and work with others on a personal and group basis. The class is separated as follows: 1/2 gameplay and sketching, 1/2 art projects. Classes are limited in size, so sign up today!

Students are guided to build and sculpt using different clay techniques with a focus on polymer clay. This class is great for beginners who want to start working with clay. Campers will get to sculpt a sunflower to look like one that Van Gogh would paint using polymer clay which is baked, cooled, and painted at camp. Van Gogh's most famous painting, Starry Starry Night, comes to life at this camp with a mix of both texture and color! Campers will get to sculpt the swirls and designs of the painting using polymer clay to create a textured tile. RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE AT LEAST 3 HOURS IN ADVANCE (this class will not be visible after that time) as materials must be prepared in advance. There is a $5 supply fee if you do not cancel your reservation at least 1 hour in advance and do not attend class. This is especially enforced if there is a full class. You may need to call or email to inform us of cancellations. Thank you for your understanding. Focusing on process over product, children will get to express themselves while using various art mediums and themes. Classes include story time with a snack.
