We offer an exciting hour where tweens can explore sculpture, drawing, painting, printmaking, and more. By the end of the series, each artist will proudly take home 4+ completed artworks, showcasing their newfound skills and creative abilities. Every series includes new creative challenges so artists can continue their learning throughout the year.

PLEASE NOTE: This Family Music class takes place in our small classroom. Therefore, the class size is limited to 8 children only. This class is NOT on our playscape/playfloor. If you would like your child to have play time on the equipment, please sign up for a Play class. Designed to excite and capture some of our older campers; this camp will take daily trips to meet different artists from around the Bay Area. Each day we will learn and experience a new art form from talented artists in their field. All materials are included. Campers need to bring an artistic interest, a desire to learn and a lunch.

Have you ever built a ten-foot tower out of blocks or had your hair stand on end? This summer you can fly around the world using a life size version of Google Earth, blow bubbles the size of a small car and climb around in a DNA double helix. Spend the week exploring science museums and even a submarine. Learn how roller coasters work and what it takes to become an astronaut. Learning is cool and electrifying in the Physics and Technology camp at UAC.

Upcycling is the process of transforming recycled materials into higher quality products! We will explore its environmental benefits and creative potential. Come and turn trash into an artful treasure! Camps include weekly field trips. Location of field trip TBD. Campers will experiment with interior design development and blueprints, as well as work with an array of materials to plan, design, and create their very own 3D buildings, and more! Try your hand, and mind, at a ropes course and then set sail aboard a boat bound for fun and adventure. Kayak the bay while looking for sea lions, mountain bike, and paddle board on the Bay. In Active camp at UAC you will challenge yourself mentally and physically while having the time of your life.

Learn all about our exciting past and look to our future in History 1 camp at UAC. Do you know what aircraft carrier shot down the most planes in US Naval history or how many people have really escaped from Alcatraz? Learn about the Gold Rush and WW2, climb aboard the Eureka and the Bal Clutha and investigate a giant aircraft carrier. How many miles of cable there are on the Golden Gate Bridge? How was the Apollo 11 space capsule recovered? Find out the answers to these questions as you make history during this fun filled week of discovery.

With campers loving our culinary camps so much, we decided to add a second. This camp is similar to our other culinary camps, with 5 different chefs, but with a week full of vegan meals and chefs. Point your taste buds towards a fun and delicious culinary adventure that brings out delicious vegan food. Similar to all of our camps, we will be traveling to different locations around the Bay Area. Every day will visit a different commercial kitchen where we will learn how to make dishes from a specific cuisine (days listed below). Campers will learn how to prepare and cook their food, and eventually eat their creations. Thus, lunch is included with every day of this week (campers who are not comfortable with a variety of food options are welcome/encouraged to bring extra food if they desire). ***Note****: Due to the locations and cuisines of this camp week, we must advise that there will be dishes with nuts, gluten, and other possible food allergies. We advise all children with food allergies to not choose this camp. If you do have specific or rare food allergies please feel free to inquire with us and we will do our best to check the ingredients being used. This camp will have dishes that contain nuts.

In this camp you will learn all about the natural world around us. There will be plenty of opportunities to see giant giraffes, touch slimy sea cucumbers, and witness birds soar over your head as you venture into the rain forest. Nature abounds when you join us for Biology/Natural Science camp at UAC.
