*HALF DAY OPTION - This gets your younger camper a nice taste of camp. They stay at camp from 9-12:30pm. You can pick up anytime before 12:30pm. Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and just plain fun! Much like our teen school year classes, we will offer the flexibility of having planned projects for those who don't necessarily have a clear idea of what to create, as well as more of an open studio for those who are ready to dive into all those projects in their heads (with the guidance of our teachers). We offer everything from drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, printmaking to sculpture. Please note that due to time constraints, we do not offer ceramics in this program during summer camps (please check out our Rebel Ceramics program if interested in working with ceramics). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. It’s Sculpture Week—hooray! We’re so excited for this hands-on, wonderfully messy week of creativity. Campers should come dressed for a mess and ready with patience as we design, build, and sculpt our pets—or the pets we wish we had! Using clay, papier-mâché, and plaster, we’ll spend the week bringing their creations to life as they work toward a magical finished piece. Campers will also have the chance to create extra accessories for their pets, including homes, collars, leashes, and even tiny crowns. It’s a week full of imagination, sculpting, and so much fun!
