Join us this summer for a week full of cooking, learning, and virtual travel as we explore the culinary traditions of Asia! We’ll be preparing food from China, Korea, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam. We will learn the principals of sauces, flavoring, cooking techniques, doughs, wraps, noodles, rice dishes, dim-sum, and more. We will be preparing classic desserts such as mochi and custard tarts. Each day will include a snack break and conclude with a complete meal.

Join us for a morning of creativity, exploration, and fun! At this camp your child will paint a colorful background on canvas. While that dries we will paint wood butterflies to glue onto their background, creating a beautiful and unique piece of art. Your child will come home with a completed work of art. A colorful, candy-inspired art adventure! Campers will design and build sweet-themed sculptures using paint, clay, and collage materials. It’s a bright and playful week full of color, creativity, and deliciously fun art-making (no sugar needed!). We are excited to share the week being creative, building community and friendships. Drop off is from 9am-9:30 and pick up is anytime between 2:30-3:00pm. During our days at Hilltop Creative Camp we will start our mornings off with free exploration, morning greetings, snack and an indoor creative activity. Nature is a huge focus of Hilltop Creative. We will have outdoor adventures on neighborhood hike's and visit our local playgrounds Bernal Heights, Holly Park or St Mary's. Towards the end of the day we will come together to be indoors and we will have an afternoon snack provided by Hilltop Creative for the campers.

Join us at Playformance for an unparalleled camp experience. We focus on active play, community skills, and joyful play together! At Playformance, we aim to provide the most fun, safest, most wonderful camp out there. Camp hours are from 8:30-2:30 CAMP HOURS: 8:30-2:30 Daily schedule: 8:30 opening circle and community time. Coaches will greet and check children in. If you have any questions or need to discuss PLEASE contact us before camp at camp@playformancetucson.com Children will be outside in the courtyard until 8:40ish. Be sure to label your child's gear! 9:15-10:30 games and activities with coaches and friends - first breakout 10:30-11 snack and break. Children bring snacks from home. Please pack lots of snacks! We no longer have vending machines 11-12 games and activities with coaches and friends - second breakout 12-1:00 lunch breaks and free play 1:00 community game - examples include lip sync battles, performances by coaches, and whole group activities. 1:30 Final breakout activity 2:10 Closing circle and transition outside 2:30 Pickup DROP OFF AND PICK UP LOCATIONS DROP OFF: Drop off is between 8:30-8:35. Park in the lot just east of our building or on 7th and walk your child to the porch where you will be greeted by coaches to check you in. You child will say goodbye and head to our outdoor play space while we wait for all arrivals. PICK UP: Pick up is on our covered porch at 2:25-2:30. Please wait on the porch. LATE?: Families whose children remain at Playformance after 2:35 pm will be charged $20 for each 10 minutes tardy. If you are going to be late PLEASE CALL if you are able so your child doesn't worry. Parking is available to the east of our facility. Kids are not allowed in the parking lot without their adults. All adults picking up children must be on their approved caregiver list. Please let a coach know if they are going home with a friend or walking or riding home on their own. WHAT TO WEAR/ BRING: Wear clothes good for active play and a coat for outdoor morning drop off/community play. SLIP ON SHOES! We are a barefoot gym Please remove jewelry or anything that may be dangerous for your child to wear. Refillable water bottle SNACKS! Bring plenty of snacks for the day. Scheduled snack breaks are offered midmorning but children are able to eat when they need to. BIG NUTRITIOUS LUNCH If your camp is nut free you will be notified. No sugary drinks or soda please. Nutritious food encouraged. NO PHONES or electronics allowed at camp. Children are NOT allowed to have their cell phones and must check them in with a coach at drop off. BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS: Our goal is to create a community of children each week. We hope that every camper leaves camp with new friends and wonderful memories. All campers will be expected to listen and follow the directions of the coaches. This is vital to the wellbeing and safety of your child and the other campers. If your child is struggling we will work with them to help find ways for them to succeed. If the challenging behavior dictates, we will then call a caregiver and work with them to resolve any issues. If the issues continue and our staff feels it is best, the child will be sent home and no refunds will be issued for that day. If your child is sent home, a phone meeting or in person meeting will need to be scheduled for your child to return to the camp community. We will work will all children to be successful at Playformance. We often find the children who need the most support from us are the ones who benefit the most from Playformance. All campers will be expected to be kind towards other campers. We have 2 principles of play at Playformance. 1) We play to have fun and 2) we take care of the people. Any violent aggressive words or actions towards other campers or coaches will not be tolerated. If your child uses violent words and or actions towards another camper they will be sent home for the day. If your child is sent home, a phone meeting or in person meeting will need to be scheduled for your child to return to camp. If you have any concerns or questions about your child's experience at Playformance Camp please make arrangements to talk with a coach before drop off or after pick up. We understand that sometimes illness can keep your child out of camp. Any child showing any symptoms of illness including but not limited to fever, headache, coughing, sneezing, runny nose, or excessive tiredness, will be sent home. If in doubt of your child's wellness, please keep them home. Rescheduled reservations may be given to avoid the spread of illness. These are given on a case by case basis and must meet the criteria of the cancelation policy seen below. If you need to cancel due to illness a reschedule may be possible if space permits. You must cancel your reservation 24 hours before the start of camp in order to be eligible for rescheduling. This CIT camp runs parallel to our regular day camp. The CITs will get opportunities to coach and play with the campers in that program. What will they do? CITs get to help set up and plan the camp day and assist with running the games and activities for the campers. They will learn leadership skills, basics of child development, public speaking skills, and much more. Their confidence will grow as they are given opportunities to shine with the younger campers. Each week will also consist of several "CIT only" activities, games, and rewards. CITs will work hard and play hard! Each CIT is assigned to a skilled mentor coach that will help support and encourage them as they learn to interact and play with younger campers. This duo sticks together and works as a team to make Playformance camp great. Open to responsible and enthusiastic people ages 12-15. CITs must be able to be on time. *NEW* Please note time for CIT Camp is 8-2:45pm to allow for time to help set up, plan, and clean up. Regular camp hours are 8:30-2:30.
